I've already got 2 of the older version of this alarm which I am still using and very pleased with.This new version has a number of improvements over the older version - which are most welcome. It takes 3 AA batteries opposed the 3 AAA in the old version - which I think means it will last quite a bit longer on a set of batteries but they've not run out yet in the 2 weeks I've been using it. I can't be sure but the alarm also seems quite a bit louder than the old version.I've also noted that you have the option to power the alarm using a USB cable - by plugging it into the sockets in the back. This gives you the flexibility to run it from mains or from a power bank for extra long run times..The fob on this version seems to be a little sturdier than the old version - which is a welcome improvement.I use the fob to disable the alarm from quite a distance - which is handy.Like the old version you get a little bracket to mount the alarm and you can use the provided screws or sticky pad to attach the bracket where you want it. The alarm can tilt and rotate in the bracket - so you can point the PIR sensor where you need it - for example, I've mounted mine around waist height so I've had to tilt the sensor back slightly to it covers a good distance in front of the alarm.Overall I would highly recommend this alarm for securing small spaces - especially sheds/caravans/motorhomes. It's simple to setup and when triggered is very loud.

Purchased a few -alarms all useless then I purchased this C PVAN motion sensor alarm, & could not believe how good this item is, easily set up, & adjusted. Once armed the capability is unbelievable would not want to be within the area when the 120dcb is siren is blastingOnly negative is the remote, the padlock icon is hard to see for On & Off.Otherwise excellentGreat Value & works out of boxInstruction manualHighly Recommended

Bought this after another shed alarm from another manufacturer failed after just about 3 years. I did a bit of research on this make before buying and have to say the installation was very easy and quick. I had to replace the cheap chinese batteries supplied because they didn't work at all ! even though they were dated till 2008. Installed branded ones and hey presto it worked. Nice and loud too. Hopefully it will last a reasonable time but at a third of the cost of my first one it won't be a big deal. Knocked 1 star off due to the batteries.

Great little alarm. this is my second one i have bought and they are very load and work well. only down side to this product is the remote control, there is no button guard/cover and when in your pocket even a smalL coin can activate it but apart from that its a great alarm .............UPDATE this alarm stopped working after a few weeks and wont detect movement. I WAS ISSUED WITH A REPLACEMENT ALARM AS SOON AS I CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND IT ARRIVED RAPIDLY. NOW ALL IS WELL. FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE, FROM A COMPANY THAT CARES..

So it’s a good alarm but I honestly hate the arming/SOS process, the remote controller is so sensitive it will activate the SOS when just in my pocket meaning the alarm blares out at full volume and when it’s right in front of you in a van it gets to be very annoying. The unit seems to have a few volume modes too and it’s very easy to knock it to a feeble low volume mode rendering the alarm basically useless. Mixed bag overall it does a basic job but the controller buttons are too sensitive.

I bought this alarm as a replacement for one that had malfunctioned. Out of the box I thought it may be too quiet as my previous faulty one had a repeater siren also but was pleasantly surprised how loud it was once I had fitted the batteries. I have it free standing on a shelf at the rear of my hut where I keep my bike and it blends in very well amongst the cans alongside it. A little niggle with the remote is that is all black and at night it is hard to see which button of the four you are pressing. Apart from that the sensing range of both remote and alarm are quite good. Overall I would definitely give this alarm 4.9 out of five. Update! my alarm suddenly stopped working. I emailed CPVans support who answered within 24hrs saying they would replace the unit. While I was waiting for the new one they did ask that I perform some checks on my old one but to no avail. The new alarm arrived today and is working perfectly. Faultless and polite customer support so 5 stars for them.

Only worked for a month and stopped working, no sensor low sound

It proved simple to set up. The installation was spoiled by the head of a screw snapping off as it was fitted. The screws are a light alloy and totally unsuitable. I suggest stronger versions. The remote can have a battery change unlike a earlier review suggested. In all, it is very good. You might need earplugs when testing. I am happy to recommend both product and seller.
