I tried it with just one section (not the extension) and easily picked up half a dozen small critters. It is not powerful, but the plastic nozzle that narrows at the end helps with that. I am not sure how well it will work on large bugs, but I wanted something to help with these little half inch long flying bugs especially when they are high up on a wall and this does the trick! I'm also not sure how well it would work for kids temporarily catching and releasing bugs because they might be harmed (the bugs, not the kids!), but it's probably fine for sturdier bugs if they turn the switch off immediately when it's in the tube. I wouldn't try it on something with delicate legs or wings. But I only need to use it to rid my house of pesky flying things and for that it works like a charm! Review: No suction - The suction on the vacuum is terrible. Barely sucks anything up the way I expected it to. Also overpriced for a cheap insect vac. ## Features - EASY CATCH AND RELEASE: Sonic Technology bug vacuum with long nozzle helps capture flies, spiders, and other small insects without direct contact. This humane bug catcher uses gentle suction and a long reach for corners, walls, windows, and ceilings. - FOR KIDS AND ADULTS: Lightweight handheld design works as a bug vacuum for kids or bug vacuum for adults. Use this insect vacuum catcher for bug catching around the home, garden, patio, or yard, then release captured insects away from living areas. - SIMPLE ONE-BUTTON USE: Wait for the insect to settle, press the button, and guide the bug sucker vacuum toward it. The bug vacuum catcher draws the insect into the nozzle, while the included safety cap helps keep it contained until release. - LIGHTWEIGHT AND BATTERY POWERED: Made from polypropylene, this bug catcher vacuum is slim, portable, and easy to store. The handheld bug vac runs on one 9-volt battery, not included, making it convenient for quick indoor or outdoor bug catching. - COMPLETE BUG CATCHING SET: Includes the Sonic Technology vacuum bug catcher, safety cap, Tips and Tricks sheet, owner's manual, and specification sheet. A practical bug catcher kit for kids and adults who prefer no-touch catch and release. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09KTG4XVT | | Best Sellers Rank | #70,138 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #1,301 in Pest Control Traps | | Brand | Sonic Technology | | Brand Name | Sonic Technology | | Color | Blue | | Customer Reviews | 3.4 out of 5 stars 358 Reviews | | Included Components | Battery | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 24"L x 2.7"W x 2.7"H | | Manufacturer | Sonic Technology Products | | Manufacturer Part Number | Turbo BugBuster | | Maximum Range | 24 inches | | Model Number | BugBuster | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product Dimensions | 24"L x 2.7"W x 2.7"H | | Style | 24" Blue | | Style Name | 24" Blue | | Target Species | Ant, Bee, Fly, Mosquito, Spider | | UPC | 860011412717 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sonic Technology - **Color:** Blue - **Maximum Range:** 24 inches - **Number of Pieces:** 1 - **Power Source:** Battery Powered - **Product Dimensions:** 24"L x 2.7"W x 2.7"H - **Style:** 24" Blue - **Target Species:** Ant, Bee, Fly, Mosquito, Spider - **UPC:** 860011412717 - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![Sonic Technology Bug Vacuum Catcher - Battery Spider Catch and Release Tool - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mvbWf7cLL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works! *by D***. on September 24, 2024* I was skeptical about this based on the reviews, but I turned out to be pleasantly surprised. Its really cheaply made. Put battery in and turned on. Didnt seem like much suction. All i know was I wrong. Its sucks up flys big time, and its easy to empty. Cheap but it works!! ## Frequently Bought Together - Sonic Technology Turbo BugBuster Insect Vacuum Catcher - Bug Vacuum Catcher for Kids & Adults - 24" Overall Extension with Tapered Nozzle - Insect Picker with Long Nozzle for Stink Bugs, Spider & More - Sonic Technology BugBuster BB100 - Cordless Bug Catcher, Spider Vacuum Grabber for Adults & Kids, Bug Vacuum for All Kinds of Insect, Battery Operated Insect Catcher with Easy On/Off Switch - BB100 - Katcha Acrylic Critter Catcher Live Trap - Large Plastic No-Harm Bug Trap & Insect Catcher with Handle for Indoor Use - Roach Traps Indoor - Bug Container for Safely Capturing Insects & Pests --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.is/products/432876873-sonic-technology-bug-vacuum-catcher-battery-spider-catch-and-release](https://www.desertcart.is/products/432876873-sonic-technology-bug-vacuum-catcher-battery-spider-catch-and-release) --- *Product available on Desertcart Iceland* *Store origin: IS* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
