Went camping for the weekend and did not get bitten by one mosquito! Over the course of the three days I used the soap, only 2 flies landed on me. Overall a good product, the rest of the bugs didn't seem to care, but they didn't bite, so a win is win, will definitely buy again. The citronella smell is strong, but pleasant; no skin irritation, lathered well, and didn't dry me out. I thought the size was small for $10, but it lasts. 2 people 6 showers over 3 days and it still has the same shape of when I opened it.

The oils in this soap are good on my skin and they make my hair shine. I even think this soap is helping my hair to grow back a bit and faster? The soap has a nice scent and it is decent for light mosquito areas. You will need stronger or more protection for heavy mosquito areas. My two sons play Baseball and we all use the soap every day to keep the oils and scent on us. Downsides are: Oh how I wish they did not put poppyseeds in the bars, I don’t like when soaps put sands or other hard abrasives in the bars. It makes a mess and can clog drains over time. I also wish they added a bit of menthol/mint and maybe goats milk to smooth it out a bit and give it a nice pastel light green color and I also wish the bars were a bit larger. If they make bars without poppyseeds, I will use this year round except for a few winter months. If I move south, I will buy this bar for my whole body including my hair year round only without the poppyseeds though.

Great soap, smells wonderful and the black seeds in the soap are great for exfoliating….but does not repel bugs or mosquitoes in any way- which was the whole purpose of buying the soap in the first place. I’m only giving it four stars because of how wonderful it is otherwise.

I bought the Ain't Buggin Me soap to help fend off mosquitoes. It's a lovely scent and washes off clean; I feel nice and refreshed when I use it. However, the poppy seeds really do scrub, so much so that it felt like using a sharper pumice stone on my body. Don't get me wrong, that can be great sometimes, esp on your feet... but on other more sensitive or soft parts of your skin, it can feel pretty abrasive. It also goes pretty fast, it's been about two weeks or less and I feel like I've used up half or more of the bar. I can't speak to its mosquito repelling abilities bc I killed the ones in my house while waiting for it to arrive but I'd like to believe it works bc the essential oils' scents are strong! Overall I liked it but for $9/bar, it's too expensive for me to keep buying.

This stuff is AWESOME... I walk in the woods to lose weight and I applied the soap before I left home and not one Bug bit me... I am going to order more....

I've been using this soap for a while. I use it every day, all summer long. When friends and family are swatting away bugs, I'm totally fine. I can count the bites I've gotten in a year on one hand. It even keeps spiders away at night. The best part is, you can't smell it at all... unlike bug spray! It's freaking magic, I swear. I can't recommend this highly enough, but if you ask the people I know, I definitely try!

I enjoy nearby trail running which features several bodies of still water and, in the summer, legions of bugs fiercely competing for a bite of the rare human. Aside from waving my arms like a crazy person, I have tried other preventative products (including toxic ones), all unsuccessfully. I can't explain why, but a pre-run rinse with this bar is 100% effective. I am still struck by dozens bugs when they spot me, but they don't stay on my head, back, or arms and bite. Ever. It is literally like they don't like the smell or taste and they bounce off. Thanks to Rachel Elise for saving my sanity.
