I ordered this little flashlight for my parents because I love the black and blue ones we’ve had for years and use almost daily, especially in the winter months. We mostly use them for evening or nighttime walks or hikes after sunset. Wearing it on the head works great for tasks or working in the dark. However, for daily walks, I prefer to wear it like a necklace so it lights up the path directly in front of me and casts light down, making me more visible to others. It also allows me to turn my head side to side without blinding anyone, since the light stays directed on the ground. I wish more people who walk with headlights at night would adopt this simple technique! I also appreciate its dimmable function, durability, waterproof quality for rainy days, lightweight design, and the fact that it’s rechargeable. Even with frequent hour-long daily walks, I only need to charge it about once a week. The one shown in the photos is the light I have been using for about 5 years already, and it is still going strong! My only complaint is that it still uses a dated micro USB charger instead of a newer USB-C. I love this durable headlight—it makes me much more visible to people and cars, adding an extra layer of safety. Highly recommend!

Nice headlamp. Good value and better than those Walmart and Lowe’s headlamps. Good light and long lasting battery. Buy it.

easy to use. bright. getting very good battery life. pretty intuitive so I don't need to go dig up the instructions for for what buttons to push for the occasional time I need the red illumination.

These are very bright headlights that use 3 AAA batteries. Super lightweight and adjustable. The battery compartment is a little stiff to open, but this ensures that the door will not open accidentally. The light is easily dimmable. They are super useful for when the power goes out.

Awesome battery life and the light is very bright. I use this daily for walks with my dog and I highly recommend it. It replaced a 10 year old rechargeable black diamond headlamp that was still working but the battery just wouldn't cut it any more.

I teach disaster preparedness, and this is one of the items I tested for use in a disaster kit. It is simple to use, has a good lighting pattern. I also like the fact that it uses regular batteries that can be changed as needed instead of being a rechargeable unit. Highly recommended!

Me encanto el sistema de dimmer para regular la luz, des esta forma puedes administrar muy bien la carga de tus baterias. la luz esta increible a pesar de ser solo de 300 Lum. super potente !!! lo unico que no he encontrado es una bateria LI/ION que le quede para poder checar la duracion de la bateria recargable.

Black Diamond es de calidad pero la publicación dice que es la Asto 300-R (recargable vía USB), es la Astro 300 que usa pilas AAA, por eso mis 4 estrellas, no la devuelvo porque es muy buena y a buen precio.
