So lets say I have my phone, laptop, and chargers in the bag and I close the bag securely will everything in the bag be safe from water?

Hi Dylan. We have done two types of tests: controlled and uncontrolled testing with multiple electronics items inside. For the controlled version we purposely submerged the backpack 5 feet underwater for 30 seconds. For the uncontrolled test, we went out into large surf in the Pacific Ocean and sent it off with a wave all the way to shore. When sealed correctly, with the directions provided in our packaging, this 30L backpack dry bag passed both tests. There was no signs of water entry or evidence of any damage to the bag.

What is a dry backpack?

Hi Daniela. A dry bag backpack is the same as our dry bag sack version with shoulder strap, but instead is much larger, and much more comfortable. It includes a padded and meshed lining back along with straps that have a durable, padded and mesh lined straps. It is different from most traditional backpacks because it is made of an Eco Friendly safe PVC that is made to withstand some of the harshest water conditions and will keep all your important items inside waterproof.

Hello! The Cloudbreak 30L Dry Bag will float nicely if rolled and secured properly. For better floatation, we advise trapping more air inside the bag before rolling and buckling. This will help the backpack float and keep everything waterproof in a much better way. Have fun!
