I love this! It’s a game changer for me. My passion is drawing but I’m ill with limited energy. This adjustable wooden book holder, makeshift easel, enables me to draw with my feet up in a comfy position. The cushion is soft but firm enough to be sturdy. The design and quality are superb. I use drawing pads which are small to just over A4 in size. It also works well as a phone holder for video calls. I am so happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this product and company. I almost forgot. It came well packaged with an additional little gift of a wooden coaster. Thank you!

My partner got this for me for Xmas last year and out of all the gifts I got, this is by far my favourite and I use it EVERY SINGLE NIGHT when unread in bed. It has a little storage so I keep my tabs, pens and other bookish bits in there. It’s very comfy if you keep it on your lap like I do and sturdy to hold a heavy hardback! Looks and feels good. Folds away and I store in on the side on top of a chair during the day. It’s not heavy so you don’t feel the weight on your lap even with a book on as it is soft underneath. Honestly one of the best things a reader can ask for!!! It leaves my hands free and also doesn’t strain my wrists when I hold a heave hardback. Too stars for this ingenious product!!!!!

I’ve never loved anything more, it’s amazing! Super sturdy, not too heavy, and the bottom is so soft and cushioned it causes no problems when on my lap! I bought this because of wrist problems that stop me from holding books open and this has been the best solve ever. the compartment inside is rlly spacious and nice, I even received a free coaster! Super easy to use, the stand for different angles functions really well , though i do wish it had one more groove to stand it upright so i can read while lying flat haha. Reading the book is super easy, the wipers hold it in place and changing the page is no problem at all, even kind of satisfying. my only issue is that one of these wipers is soooo squeaky and loud! i’m going to have to oil it or something, but this has really helped and hopefully i’ll be able to start reading again the way I did before my health declined. Does this count as an aid? yeah 1000%

An excellent design for comfortable reading in bed. The only problems are The support can only be elevated to 45 degrees using the integral slots. However, this is easily resolved by wedging a cardboard box 13cm long and around 10-11cm wide between the box edge and the support – see photo. The material used is only 8mm thick and the screws fixing the hinges are really tiny. You need to be careful not to overstress these. The book support is only 35mm wide, and so thicker books are difficult to hold in place. I like to read sitting in an upright position and without having to bend my neck forwards. This can be resolved by raising the stand on support(s) around 9 inches high - such as a cardboard box or boxes. Follow up re problems I have improved stability for eye level reading by using a lap tray on the bottom plus box(es). You could also save money by buying the other Vigo book holder without the cushion box base. However this one is more versatile as it can also be used for lap level reading if that is more convenient. I have enabled the use of thicker books of 2 inches or more by using long reach clamps – I use 2 of my Draper 225mm ones, but these may be too stiff for frail people. These are also better than the built in clamps for any book as they are more sturdy and you can adjust the position to match the book margins.

Solid, well made and lovely looking. Does the job. Hands free reading. Especially good if you have arthritis or fibromyalgia. The adjustable page holders are solid and keep pages in place. Much better than cheaper versions that I've tried. A bit expensive but would still recommend.

I thought this would be pretty cheap feeling, from the product photos, but it is very well designed and excellent quality, far better than I was expecting it to be. There is a magnetic catch that keeps it closed. It is easy to pop open, though, and the swinging arm underneath is perfectly weighted as it automatically slots into the first height slot once you lift it. Beautiful design! I was expecting something made from cheapo ply or MDF with wood effect paper stuck to it, but it feels a decent weight and the surface has a nice grain effect making it feel much more like decent quality wood. The cushioned base and sides, also, feel good quality and it is very comfy on your legs. The inside is very convenient for storing spare bookmarks, pens, post its and glasses case/cleaner etc. I love using it (along with a blanket and teapot) and my time spent reading daily has increased massively after buying this. I don't even feel tempted to look at my phone anywhere near as often, the experience is so comforting and blissful.

I wasn't sure how robust this would be, but it arrived in a strong box. Inside, the book rest was further protected with thin foam. The wooden part is MDF, so should be robust. The base is thick foam, covered in soft velvet-like material. Foam will last longer and is more stable than the beads found in laptrays and beanbags. The base also incorporates a matching carry handle. I initially had a struggle to open the book rest! Once I did, I realised why...a strong, double magnet holds the lid closed! Once I realised this, I used more "force" to easily open it the next time. The rest automatically adjusts to the nearest slot position, but further adjustment can be made one-handed. My bookmark sat nicely in the wooden inset handle above my book, by the way! The shelf is hinged, so lays flat when not in use. When pulled open, it takes a 480-page paperback novel with ease. The grips are rubber tipped. I gently flexed them over the thickness of the pages read so far and they felt fairly sturdy. I will treat them with respect though. The grips were able to hold the thick side of the book easily; the thin side needed the grips nearer towards the spine to prevent the pages slipping out of the grip. I felt this was a normal thing to expect. Once I opened the top, I removed the complimentary, matching wooden coaster from inside the well. The well was deep enough to hold my book, but I won't be keeping it in there, as I fear the book may move around and jam the rest, preventing it opening! Just me over-thinking, probably! The whole item is weighty, in a good, robust way. The seams were piped, the wood well-finished. I am so glad I risked purchasing this item. Worth every penny...so far!

Just what I needed to help with neck pain from looking down reading. Excellent quality and great for storing a couple of books & my reading glasses.

I tried using pillows to prop up my books when I wanted to just read a bit before going to sleep. That didn't out well, and I finally decided to look for a book stand while reading in my bed. Not only did I find this book stand that had enough angles to choose from, the cushion is very comfortable and made well; the cushion seems durable enough (also has a little handle on it as well), and the fact that it also has storage for my pens and markers (also the mini light I bought separately!), folding up nicely when I am finished using it, makes this book stand a winner! Now I comfortably sit in bed, being able to read my books with ease, at an angle that works for me. I absolutely love that it also has the page holders which is a definite plus! The other plus is, when traveling, it's small enough to put it a bag, knapsack or suitcase to take along with you. I am very satisfied with this product, and recommend it to other book lovers!

Depuis le temps que j'attendais un bon support pour livre que l'on pouvait utiliser sur un divan, chaise berçante, lit etc, celui-ci m'a fait de l'oeil et j'ai fait le bon choix. Plusieurs angles pour la lecture et ce que j'aime par-dessus tout c'est qu'il est recouvert de tissu, ce qui l'empêche de glisser quand on le dépose sur nos genoux. On peut ranger un livre assez épais dans le compartiment et il reste un peu de place pour autre petits objets. J'aime aussi son look rustique. Ajouter à ça une bonne lampe Del au cou et c'est le paradis sur terre LoL!
