This is the best invention! I just replaced mine after 16 years!
This is my 2nd popcorn popper like this and I was so happy to see it hadn’t gone out of production. My original one is over 16 years old and has been used at least 1x each month. It makes the best popcorn - no oil needed, just put in the corn then into the microwave. I use a difffernt bowl to each from as I add a mixture of 3 parts olive oil to 1 part butter. (I don’t want any oil to build up in my popper - probably why it’s lasted so long). Since it’s collapsible, it takes little room, so easy to use plus its healthier than and looks better than bag micro popcorn. I use Orville’s popcorn and you need to pay attention as it pops. Once it starts slowing down to just a few pops, stop the micro or you may burn the popcorn. Since every microwave is different, you need to pay attention to the popping. Each batch and brand of popcorn may pop differently. The pluses to this? It’s economical, much healthier, you can make the size batch you want, easy cleanup (I just rinse it out and after 3 - uses I wash it) and… you can easily take it with you camping or wherever since it’s so portable. And- you can still it for serving a dry salad (dressing on the side), snacks, fruit, whatever…

POPCORN GAME CHANGER!!! 10 stars!!!
This little item is GENIUS! It makes no sense to me that it would work but it absolutely does! Way better than microwave popcorn in a bag and so much easier (and better) than making popcorn with a popcorn maker. 2-3 mins in the microwave, no oil needed. You have "better than movie theater" popcorn in minutes with no mess. Super fresh and crispy. Seriously. I didn't believe it either. I've tried popping the kernels with oil and without oil. I truly believe it pops more kernels without using oil and definitely leaves the container easier to clean. Without oil, you really don't have to do anything if you don't want to. When you use oil, you have to wipe the oil off the lid and the container. Oh, and I usually only have 5 or 6 kernels left unpopped. I have gone thru an entire jar of kernels using this popcorn maker so far and it still looks and acts like it's brand new. SO durable. I don't think I will ever make popcorn any other way!

Life-changing for a Popcorn Aficionado
I love this bowl. I'm a self-admitted popcorn snob. I use ACTUAL movie theater buttered oils and salt (Butter-Flav'd Soybean and Flavacol) to make DEAD ON movie theater popcorn (no "STYLE" about it... it's the REAL stuff). Until this, I used a countertop wire-spin popper from Dash and also one from Cuisinart with a dishwashable hotplate, but both of those poppers have sat unused since I got this one. It can't manage the volume of the machines, but when making popcorn for 1-4 people, it does really well without the extra setup of dragging out and cleaning up the machines. It's also faster needing only 2:10 in my 1100w Panasonic Inverter microwave (The best, BTW!) to pop about 1/2 cup of quality kernels like Orville or Pop Secret. Boutique kernels take a bit longer or burn in a microwave so you might want to pass on anything except good-ol' regular popping corn. The collapsible silicone bowl is really efficient to store, and super easy to clean, with residues just about wiping out with hot water and Dawn (absolute best for grease! They use it on oil spills for a reason!). I've noticed only a VERY minor bit or staining from the yellow coloring in the buttered oil, but nothing to really upset me. I just wanted to point it out. Does not affect use or effectiveness one bit! This is a cost-effective substitute for the ease of microwave corn with the ability to control everything about your popping experience, unlike bagged microwave popcorn. Just spend the money.

So easy to make, you’ll have a snack in minutes, no mess
This is a great popcorn popper, very easy to use and clean. You pop the kernels without oil, so you can just rinse and let it air dry. No mess! The popper collapses for easy storage. Here’s a photo of it in my cupboard. Everybody’s microwave is different, I set my time to 5 minutes and just listen till the popping slows down, usually about 3-1/2 mins. After I put it in a bowl I use butter spray and assorted flavor toppings. It makes 10 cups of popcorn. I usually have about 4 or 5 unpopped kernels. Really really good healthy popcorn! You should try it

I'd say give it a try, just start out with 2 minutes in high heat microwaves.
I love my silicon one, but my daughter in law said this one I ordered for her did not work at all. I just pop for 2:22 to 2:30 minutes. All but just a very few kernels pop, sometimes all the kernels pop. If I pop mine for 3 minutes it burns. You can always use it for a salad bowl if you can't figure out the timing on your particular microwave.

Great idea but subpar performance
I purchased this popper in hopes of finding a fast and easy to clean up method of popping popcorn in the microwave without resorting to the packaged one from the store. Previously I had been using an Orville model, that takes small cardboard like disks that need to be replaced after a few uses. I was hoping the Cuisinart would do the trick. The collapsing feature is great, and makes storing the popper a breeze. I do find the collapsing portions though to be too thin, and it makes it difficult to collapse it properly, as they don't like to fold correctly. I also noticed the silicon, or whatever the base is made up, fails the so called pinch test, and is very white. Typically this means a lower quality silicone has been used, with more fillers. The biggest reason for my lower overall rating is that it just doesn't pop popcorn like my Orville does. I've tried different amounts, different popcorn and oil, and I usually get about 1/3 to 1/2 of the seeds unpopped, before the popped corn starts to burn. I have a 1500 watt microwave that works great with the Orville, so I'm fairly confident it's the Cuisinart and not anything else. It's easy to clean, collapses into a flat easy to store shape, but doesn't seem to be made of super high quality materials and produces sub par popcorn. It's fairly inexpensive, however I typically think of Cuisinart as a brand that produces quality products. This one fell quite short of my expectations, and I would recommend looking elsewhere for a popper.

Easy, works great, and no mess.
I love this popcorn maker. I have tried using everything else, and this is easy and effective. 1/2 cup of corn, 4 minutes in the microwave, and you are good to go. I bought a second one for our vacation home as well.
