Q: Is it compatable with Dremel rotary tools?

Compatibility involves a number of areas. The, mandrels, drill bits, etc can be used, but nothing else is compatible. The collets are different, and the body of the tool is a different size than Dremel tools, so there's no interchangeability with drill press stands, routers, etc.

Yes, these collets can be used they are a standard size.

Q: I have an olded dremel, model # 2, will these collets fit it

I tried these in an older maxpro model dremel that i also have n am sorry to say they do not fit. These hav a greater dia. than the hollow holder into which the collets fit. You will have to buy the dremel collets or alternatively buy the keyless collet that can take multiple sizes. Hope this was of some help.
