I like these books, I have almost all the grade levels, but I am not in love. I appreciate the format of reading and answering questions, then some experiments to tie it together. But it has pros and cons Pros- open and go except experiments, obviously - easy to do and straight forward Cons- not very in depth, best to add videos or books to expand Kind of boring in ways, interesting in others Overall, a good option for open and go review or science learning material. Easy to use for homeschool or to reinforce other schooling at home. Basic breakdown for homeschooling- needs supplemental material, but good basics.

Thinking problems with problem solving

My boy just finished first 8 pages, and I checked it. The book is really good for the content and I could know my boy better for his level from the answers he provided. Really enjoy it with my 7th grade boy.

This book covers all the topics in 8th grade science, broken down into very workable page sets. You read a page, then answer questions. Read a page, answer questions. If you are homeschooling, you can easily have your child look up the day's reading online and research more on each topic. Well written and easy to follow.

I would recommend to use this with additional science curriculum. Look and find more information on every subject. My daughter just started the 8th grade and she can do it pretty much by herself. She can read and then answer the questions. Not all the questions seem to be based on every piece. There are also things that are not proved that I teach as theories and not facts, I guess you can find things like that on every science book. It's an ok book, it's good to have something to follow every day without much planning.

I got this science book for my 8th-grade child because she doesn't have much homework from school, and this assignment book helps keep her occupied. It's well-written, easy to understand, and perfect for kids. She finds it both enjoyable and engaging.
