Works flawlessly in Netgear GC728X
I have a Netgear GC728X and needed to change one of my 1Gb devices from electrical to optical. The 10Gtek Netgear AGM731F clone works flawlessly. In fact, I have about two dozen 10Gtek SFP's -- several varieties -- in production and I've only had one fail in three years.Outstanding products for very reasonable prices.

10Gtek AGM734 clone transceivers work great with Netgear GS724Tv4
Bought two 10Gtek AGM734-compatible transceivers for the SFP ports on my Netgear GS724Tv4 switches and they work great! There's no official information about Netgear's own AGM734 being compatible with the GS724Tv4 (and a variety of other Netgear switches), except for a post on Netgear's forum (if that can be considered "official"), so I was a little hesitant buying an AGM734 clone. If it didn't work, then was it 10Gtek's fault for not being a flawed AGM734 clone or my fault for trusting that the AGM734 (clone or not) is compatible with the GS724Tv4. The price for a Netgear AGM734 is ridiculous for use, little alone just testing, but the price for a 10Gtek is worthwhile. I bought one and it worked! Bought a second one (as GS724Tv4's have two dedicated SFPs) and it also worked! 5 hours straight of full-duplex ~1 Gbps TCP traffic (2 Gbps total, according to GS724Tv4's SNMP reporting and the traffic generator) through both transceivers installed in a single GS724Tv4 and no problems. After this experience I know: 1. AGM734 transceivers are compatible with GS724Tv4 and 2. 10Gtek transceivers are functional clones.

Just for your convenience
If you run out of ethernet ports on your switch and you have sfp fiber ports this will work for you. Why I bought them was to speed up my network. I did not need them for extra ports. I bought 4 ethernet to fiber converters from Amazon thinking it would fix my bandwidth problem. It did help just a little. I converted ethernet to fiber and back to ethernet with this 10Gtek adapter. If you are running a lot of HD video streams from YouTube or IP cameras and you are running out of bandwidth on your ethernet cables you should use strictly fiber optic to connect your switches.Even now I have no problems with them. I have stopped using them because it did not fix my problem. If I ever need an extra port on my switch I will use them again.PositivesQuick install. No configuration needed.1 gigabit speeds.Negativesdowngrades your 10 gigabit sfp fiber ports to 1 gigabit speeds. Other than that their is none.

Generally good. Link flaps when ethernet is disconnected.
Bought these for an Aruba 1830 24 port switch to use the two SFP ports. Works fine when a live ethernet link is connected, but if I unplug the ethernet, or the remote equipment is off, the port flaps and the Aruba switch suspends the link for link flapping. I had to set the link recovery on the Aruba to 30 seconds (minimum) to reduce the time it takes for the link to come back up. As long as the connection with the upstream switch stays live (24/7 unless power out) everything is fine. But it is kind of annoying.

A serious problem caused by me.
1. The product is an excellent tool and I give it 5 stars2. The supplier is also excellent and supplied the product in record time with absolutely no issues, so I give the supplier a 5 star rating as well.3. The problem is my fault, not the product nor the supplier. I did not read the documentation completely and jumped at a quick solution to my issue with installation. So (for myself) READ THE DOCUMENTATION COMPLETELY before you spend additional money for something you don't need nor can use at this moment in time.

Works with Netgear Insight GC110
The most recent firmware for Netgear Insight (GCxxx) switches caused problems for some third party SFPs.This one still works, both used as uplink and as extra client port. Tested with latest firmware.

Worked Great, 1/8th the Price of 1st Party
Swapped one of these in with a Netgear official transceiver, same performance and function so far. We'll see how long it lasts but so far so good. Will definitely be trying 10Gtek products for other SFP needs.
