Here is the truth about this set of pool balls
This review is for the Deluxe Superior set that Japer Bees sells for around $90. There are many $30-$40 pool ball sets available and many $200-$300 (or higher) pool ball sets also. But, there do not appear to be many that are in the $80-$100 range. So, IMO, really cheap or really expensive. I wanted the middle ground since I just own a "basement" pool table that is nothing special and I'm not a pool shark. So, I purchased the Japer Bees Deluxe Superior set. The balls are beautiful and I carefully measured the diameter and weight of all 16 balls. The tolerance is exceptional. All were within 1/8th ounce in weight (right at 6 ounces) and the diameters were all extremely close to 2 1/4" (nice tight rack). So, after a few weeks of playing, indeed, I did notice a very small 1/4" long (very skinny) chip in the #2 ball. Nothing that would impact casual play. I checked all the other balls and they are still perfect. So, I contacted Japer Bees customer support and they responded with 20 minutes!!! They immediately sent me a replacement #2 ball via Priority Mail. However, when I received it, upon racking, I noticed the new #2 ball was just slightly (<1 millimeter) smaller than the other balls. Maybe it is a "batch" thing, I don't know. Anyway, I contacted Japer Bees again and showed them in a short 3 second video that the new #2 ball racked kind of loosely. Again, they responded immediately. So what is their solution? They sent me a completely new set of Superior Deluxe balls. I am not aware of any customer service like this anywhere. Yeah, it would be great to get some $80 balls that were equivalent to $300 balls but that is just not reality. So, with that said, I am very happy with this experience overall. The balls have good elasticity (they distribute nicely after a break) and I am 6'-1" and can hammer the rack with my break cue. So far, all the other balls are good. I'm sure I'll get several years of play out of this set. Thanks Japer Bees for being a good company to work with!!!

Very good complete set!
All the balls are weighted nicely and roll very true. This was an amazing upgrade from the prior set that came with my table. The que ball has great control and spin. I wish I made this investment sooner. We've played roughly 15-20 games in the first few days after receiving the set and the color is clear and has no signs of wear.

Clearly much better than cheaper options, well worth it!
I originally bought a cheaper $30 set of pool balls, and honestly, they already looked pretty decent at first glance. Out of curiosity, I decided to try this more expensive set to see if there was any real difference. After putting them side by side, the difference became very clear. The color and finish on this set are noticeably more glossy and premium-looking. More importantly, after testing them on the table, the elasticity is significantly better. The balls feel more responsive when they collide, and the rebound paths are more predictable and controllable, which makes a real difference during play. A good set of pool balls can last for years, so this is not something you replace often. In that context, the extra ~$50 is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend going straight for this set instead of the cheaper optionโyou really have to compare them directly to appreciate the difference.

Poor quality
I've bought several different set from jasper bees but recently I bought two sets in a row and the have both chipped on the first break. These are not cheap sets I'm buying so definitely disappointing for them to be poor quality.
