Everything You Need to Replace Your Switch Battery - Easy to Install, Clear Instructions
The NYI Battery Replacement for the Nintendo Switch is a great option if your Switch battery farts out and you need a reliable replacement. The kit includes everything you need to replace the battery: the battery, a screwdriver and matching tips, and a spatula for removing the battery. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, though I would still look up a video for reference, as there are a few steps that are quite delicate, such as detaching the SD card slot and the battery itself. Additionally, I would definitely advise using the tray everything was sent in to separate your screws as you remove them as they come in different sizes and head shapes. I thankfully did this by group, and didn't have an issue with the screws getting mixed up. As of the battery itself, it seems to be working perfectly. My Switch now stays charged for more than a minute (it was that bad) and I can travel with my console and enjoy using it while on the go again. I can't say much about longevity of the battery as I've only just installed it, but if starts wearing out quickly, I'll update. At ~$17 for the battery, it's a small price to pay to get my console working again and much cheaper than getting an OEM Switch battery. It seems like an excellent value for what I'm getting so far. Overall, it's a great kit and something I would purchase again if my battery decides to stop working again.

Decent kit/semi complicated install
Seemed to work very well with 2 notes; The instructions are good until it comes to removing the old battery. It’s a really stuck in there with tape, and I felt I was risking rupturing it with how hard you have to pry to take it out. Firm, even pressure making sure not to crease it. The tool they give for removal seems suboptimal. Second, when i completed the instal and turned the machine on, the unit had a very hard time determining the battery level. Plugged in it said 100% however when I unplugged it the battery display was unstable changing every few seconds; 10%…29%…. 75%…. 100%…..15%…. 30%…..65%… and so on. The info I found online said let the battery completely die and completely recharge it to reset the sensors. This did not work the first time I did it. It did work the second time I did it. It holds a chamge as good as new now. Hope that helps.

Was able to get it changed out in 45 mins but...
Amending once more after receiving replacement. As a note, the issue may not *actually* be the battery (it still could be), but the switch battery indicator incorrectly reading battery life incorrectly, which Nintendo has an article for (solution didn't work for me however). I tested the original NYI battery I received by playing and letting the indicator drop to 1% and seeing how long the battery lasted afterwards, and the battery lasted a total of 3 hours for Mario rpg (not too graphic intense). It's definitely no where near the original battery's life when I first got the switch, but it's better than the Nintendo battery after 8 years/SO many hours of play and changing, lasting an unpredictable 1 hr sometimes, 30 minutes others. I opted not to use the replacement I got because every time you have to change out this stuff/unplug connectors there is more chance of something breaking/bending. I am satisfied with this overall and would buy again. Amending my original review (below) because after charging and playing for about 15 minutes last night, my switch sat in sleep mode. I turned it on at lunchtime today to see if had dropped to 56%, and then when I went to turn it on after work it was completely dead. I charged it again to test it and this time I left it on for 10 minutes. Watched the battery drop rapidly to 56% then a couple minutes later it showed 4%. Ordered a replacement... It will amend my review again if i receive an actual working part. The kit had *almost* everything needed, and the instructions were very easy to follow. As others said and I had read, the adhesive on the original battery was REALLY tough to break. I watched a YouTube video that used isopropyl alcohol and a straw to drip it down the sides of the battery/tilt the switch and get underneath. The plastic tool that came in this kit was a little too thick to get under all sides of the battery, but ended up being able to pry from the bottom of the battery. After getting it out the rest was simple. The battery charged, and so far seems to hold the charge (this is less than 24 hrs after installation) so I will come back and amend my review if I have any issues, but as of now this kit/replacement gets an A+

It’s fine I guess
The kit it self is great. Great quality tools and instructions was easy to replace battery. The new battery sucks tho. My switch is constantly on the charger just like before the replacement battery. I’m pretty disappointed honestly I was really excited for a new and improved battery so I could stay off the charger for a couple hours. I would love for them to send me a new battery to try out at this point because it seems like they gave me their worst one.

Terrible product!!!
The original batter in my Switch was starting to drain very quickly (completely dies when out of the dock in 15-20 mins) so I looked into battery replacement and came across this product. Swapping the battery was straight forward (except for the glued down battery, complete pain but manageable). The best part of this product are the tools and visual instructions. The batter would power up the switch, but never held a charge! Even in docked mode, the battery wouldn't attempt to charge (the charging indicator was on but the battery percentage would never go up). So, requested a new battery due to faulty product. New battery shows up and seems to be holding a charge.........but in less that 24 hrs later, it starts doing the same thing!!! 2 products in the less than one week and they both are faulty out of the box. I put my old battery back into the switch just so I'll have the ability to play something until I figure something out. Probably just eventually replace it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS PRODUCT!

Excellent product with everything included for easy replacement
The battery works perfectly on my Nintendo Switch (1st Gen). Also, the instructions provided to replace the battery were so easy to follow. They provide everything you need, mini screw driver (metal) with the interchangeable heads and a plastic spatula to help with removing the battery.

Great set that made replacing the battery mostly painless
This was a surprisingly great set for replacing the dying battery in my original Nintendo Switch. The included screwdriver and bits were actually great and high quality (especially that the screwdriver allows you to twirl it as you're unscrewing). The screwdriver bit were magnetized which made extraction and insertion of screws pretty easy. The included instructions were great with one exception: Removing the battery is very tricky. Definitely checkout the guide from ifixit but basically, we did thing: We applied some upward pressure where the cables were and dribbed a bit of 99% alcohol. That allows the glue to loosen enough that were able to eventually pry it up. The included tool on its own is not going to be enough. Just make sure to organize all of the tiny screws. We actually used the included plastic tray that held the screwdriver for that. The total process took about 30 minutes (which included some time for the alcohol to dry up)

Excellent screwdriver kit and instructions
Crossing my fingers the battery performance is solid, but the kit is well done with excellent instructions. Everything is easy, except the physical removal of the factory battery - it has strong adhesive holding it down. What you need to do to loosen the adhesive is to gently use some isopropyl alcohol and let it work for a few minutes. After that, gently pry the old battery out, little by little, edge by edge. That’s the hardest part. The spudger/pry tool is OK but the screwdriver and bits are perfect. Take your time, use a nice work light and keep your screws organized together (they are tiny!) and you’ll be golden.

Funciona
