Paasche Airbrush AEX-5-240 Aluminum Oxide Abrasive, 240 Grit, Gray

Bought this to etch glass with and I have zero issues with the quality of this media. The grains are consistent and provides a consistent etch on all my glass. It does not plug up my Harbor Freight air eraser and flows through it with ease. I use an inline water filter while blasting, so I haven't had any moisture get caught up in the mixture and introduce clumping of any kind. Definitely worth the price for this great quality blast media and will be the only media I buy again for my glass etching!

Great quality blasting media, worked great for glass etching and some rust removal. The grit rating isn't good for much else, but for it's intended purpose, it worked wonders. Didn't disintegrate, was easily reusable. Beware, it was very fine, it went right through the filter in my blasting cabinet.

I use this in a Paasche Air Eraser to prep brass train models for painting. It works quite well using about 60 psi. I haven't tried to filter and reuse the media.

So if your learning to etch or mini sandblast oxidation it is very difficult to use or at least learn how to use. I recommend watching some videos first on how to use this product efficiently.

Working with high quality, working at a high speed, working uniformly with low pressure. Very good.

Aluminum Oxide was fine, but it came in a bag with a zip tie. So, I had to find a container to put it in and since I am a business I have to have create a table for OSHA rules. Not a huge deal, but just annoying.

I use this product for glass etching. It does a wonderful job. Very consistent results. I highly recommend.

Excellent refractory additive, or use as primary refractory in plinths. Very fine powder, quite dense and heavy. I found that adding magnesium silicate makes this puff-up with sodium silicate, which is quite bad for plinths.

Worked great out of my Harbor Freight air eraser for etching glasses. Made fast clean etchings. Super consistent grit size, no bigger clumps to clog the gun.

Received faster than expected Good packaging intact, Good grade received It's sandblasting sand so nothing to say about content exept filtrated hi quality Expensive but worth it

Did not work as well as I thought it would. May need more experience

This is great stuff, much better than having to use etching cream.
