AMACO 76370K Rub 'n Buff Wax Metallic Finish, Silver Leaf, 0.5-Fluid Ounce

This is a pretty cool product! When you first get it the tiny tube makes you wonder if they have lost their mind, but a little goes a long way depending on the surface you are applying it to. I found that smooth surfaces need an astoudingly small ammount, but rough surfaces will take just a bit more. The silver has very good coverage, and the results are impressive. Very shiny, metalic result that doesn't dissapoint or look fake. My favorite part is application, i use my finger (use gloves!!!) which means less tools and set up/clean up. Its so simple! I bought the 12 pack of different colors after this one and nothing in my house is safe! A fun product for the crafty person! NO ONE paid me or gave me any discounts for this review, I bought it at full price and have no obligation what so ever to rate this any higher than I choose.

Works well! Be careful to not splattering it around as it can leave stains. Easy cosmetic fix for stained (plastic) siver. Good coverage and easy to use. See pictures for before and after.. i was not able to clean it as some of it the silver layer dissolved but the color helps a lot and specifically from afar it looks soooo much better and doesn’t bother me anymore.. it’s a rental so I wanted an easy and cheap solution and that’s exactly that👍🏼

A little goes a long way! These tubes are small, but don’t let that deter you - a very small amount will go much further than you think. The metallic finish will give you a great depth of shine and dimension. The rub and buff has a nice thickness and spreads well. I would recommend wearing a glove or finger covering - but if you are in a hurry or forget, this will clean up and wear off skin quickly.

Work great to touch up picture frame.

I use this for polishing various parts of the models I build. It's pretty easy to use and leaves a nice finish when I'm done. Doesn't take a lot and the tube should last quite awhile.

Great on polymer clay after its baked. This wax really does give the clay a metallic appearance without looking cheap or fake. The smell is fairly strong but fades after it dries/sets. Once on it does not wipe off, and looks like it will last for quite awhile with wear and tear. It has become my new favorite, and I can't wait to get more colors to play with! My only fault with it, is that it costs almost twice as much as you can find it in a hobby type store. I had not realized this until I went to Michaels and seen it for 4 dollars cheaper there, but to be fair the hobby type stores only sell like 3 different colors and you can find all sorts of colors on amazon, so it may be worth it to buy on amazon for ease if you aren't worried about spending extra.

This Rub and Buff worked very well for my table. It seemed to renew the color and dried fast with a minimal odor. It was very easy to use.

Great product. Great for crafting. It really brings out the fine details on most surfaces.

Fantastisk produkt! Rub 'n Buff ger en otroligt snygg metallisk silverfinish och är mycket enkel att arbeta med. Trots den lilla tuben räcker innehållet förvånansvärt länge eftersom det bara behövs en mycket liten mängd per användning. Jag är extremt nöjd med resultatet och kommer definitivt att köpa den igen.

This stuff is amazing 👏 .My mirror was a dull gold colour and was wary of what product to use to change to silver. So easy to use and goes a long way only used about a third of the tube and the mirror is large and like a MDF material. Used my finger through a cloth and just rubbed the colour on until I was happy with the look and shine! Honestly I was scared to try it incase the mirror got ruined but im so happy with the result. Highly recommended product 👌

well, if you can't quite afford the excellent silver leaf paint, this is a great way to turn; had 2 mirrors given me, one in silverfish frame, the other pine with many crevices. This product dealt with the raw pine wonderfully. I prefer to spread on with fingertips (OPEN WINDOW!!! it can hurt back of yr throat if not) - then follow that with a stiff brush to get into all corners etc. Will re-do it tomorrow but it already looks great. I also have the distressed-rub-n-buff, so will use a tiny bit of that; as others have said, a very little goes a v long way. It is astonishing , working with this stuff, to see a v small blob coat the entire side of mirror frame , approx 12 inches wide. Great alternative to silver leafing; I had some real silver leaf and have done a wooden chair with it, along with other wooden items in the true silver-leaf paint. This is far less of a faff and yes, you can see the difference - but it's a pleasant difference, making a more mellow frame... yet it buffs to a beautiful shine. I'm v pleased.
