I’m still at the stage of trying a lot of Korean skincare products. The acwell licorice products seem well formulated and help brighten the skin. I’m not pregnant but have read licorice is a good substitute for vitamin C, especially for women who are expecting. Based on the popularity and positive reviews, I purchased several acwell licorice-based skincare products: the foaming cleanser, licorice mist, licorice toner, and this licorice serum. The mist is refreshing and hydrating, and the toner and serum do indeed seem effective at brightening. Only one of this list did not work well for me—the foaming cleanser. It is a bit too harsh for my delicate skin which is thin from years of steroid medications for an autoimmune disorder. I find I’m From brand’s Rice Whip Foaming Facial Cleanser more gentle and less prone to stripping my dry skin. In retrospect it makes some sense that a “brightening” cleanser might be too harsh for skin like mine. I do recommend the serum, though :-)

I'm new to wearing serums so I've only just been this serum in the evenings, every other day to start. I love how soft and plump my skin feels after wearing this! It is not greasy and spreads like a watery gel but I do feel the hydration. It is a downside that the writing on the bottle is fully in Korean, but I used Google Lens to translate at first, and when I had the time, I looked into Acwell's website for proper usage. I put it after my toner and before the moisturizer. I spread it all over my face and decolletage, and pat the excess on my cheeks because I get very dry in that area. There is no discernible smell and it feels very light. Out of the Acwell Real Acqua line, this is the one I see myself adding to my daily routine.

I like this a lot. It heals, soothes and helps dark spots move along.

Great for those with a sensitivity to smell. This ampule literally has no smell, none. It is extremely light weight and I could even say watery? I expected it to have more of a gel or serum consistency but it’s not. I’ve only used it for two days. I can’t say whether it works or not but I have definitely not had any adverse reactions.
