The ball at the end needs to be slightly larger than the straight bar gauge in order to secure the jewelry in place, which will inevitably cause a little bit of pain while putting it in. Once you push past that, it’s easy to switch the jewelry out. The silver hasn’t caused me any irritation, but I can’t speak for the gold- usually a gold finish will wear off eventually so I try to stay away from it unless I’m buying from a reputable piercing company/shop. Everyone saying it falls out just ordered the wrong gauge size- you should feel some discomfort while putting it in! Comfortable and nice, but fall out a lot
They look beautiful and come in different sizes for variety. The issue is they keep falling out, and I keep losing them. I bought a second set because I lost all of the first ones, but I still really like how comfortable and good they look.

They do fall out very easily, people buying the wrong size isn’t the issue.
“Everyone saying they fall out just bought the wrong size” I saw on another review. I’m an 18G. I bought a size 18G. I have had my nose pierced for a year and a half on both sides. I have never switched my gauge size and use different styles of nose rings and studs. These fall out very easily. The tiniest little tug and they pop right out. I’ve slid on a shirt and the friction from the shirt popped it out. I dab my nose dry after showering and it falls out. You have to be unreasonably careful for it not to come out. I just woke up in the middle of the night to one of mine not in my nose and gratefully was able to pop another one in after it was about halfway closed. If I didn’t wake up my piercing would have closed all the way come the morning time. It’s not people buying the wrong gauge size they just are not good quality. Very surprised as this is the first Amazon product I’ve seen that has a ton of good reviews but I’ve ended up hating and I normally use the reviews to decide whether or not I buy it.
