I use this as a weekly homework assignment to build my middle grades students' knowledge in vocabulary. The assignments are accessible and easy to understand for all learners, and I notice them decoding new words using prefixes we've covered thus far in the year. I lost my original copy during a move to a different campus this summer, so I picked up another to replace it. Same book, and worth buying a second time.

What a wonderful resource for middle school teachers! I began using this my second year teaching after my first year of flailing about trying to figure out what I was doing. This makes vocabulary quizzes so much easier to plan for and after about three weeks my students understand prefixes and suffixes and are rocking these quizzes and expanding their vocabulary. The activities are great for homework. I just love this book. I've used it for three years now and it's still going strong.
