I've been using salicylic acid face washes for years, and Neutrogena is the standard for me when comparing other brands. The consistency, lather and performance of this wash is top notch. It's nicely thick, so not much is needed for a good cleaning, which keeps the cost per use lower than many other washes. It cleans well but is not overly drying. Even little things, such as the pump, are done right so that it works reliably and is drip/mess-free. It has a 2% salicylic acid concentration so it can cause irritation if used too often. How often is "too often" varies from person-to-person. For me, once daily works well and doesn't result in any redness or irritation. A great performing acne wash -- zero complaints, and a solid 5 stars.
