I would recommend Govee lights to anyone using Google Home. They are consistently good value and work really well, at least with what I want from it. Building the lamp itself was easy as the instructions were there and even came with the tools to screw everything together. The only tricky bit was fitting the cable into the base as I was worried it might break but it was fine after wiggling it around a little. The lamp itself looks sleek and modern, and most importantly, puts out an impressive amount of light. We wanted this to add some ambient light at night and it’s perfect. There’s a wide range of colours and patterns and pairs perfectly with Google if you want to turn them on/off, brighten/dim or change colour. It responds quickly to the command too and haven’t had any problems with it not connecting.

I do love this item, its sleek looking and the different modes and brightness is amazing. We use it in the bedroom and the timer function is great. GOVEE in general are a great company and their app is easy to use. I would say to check the Govee app before purchase as I paid nearly £90 for this item and then after putting together I seen the newer version on sale on the Govee app for the same money which was a £50 saving at the time. But in general, love this item, well made, sturdy and sleek.

Before I start this review there are a few questions you need to ask yourself. Do you want to turn your lamp on via Google or Alexa? Do you want to turn your lamp on via the Goove app? Will you use the features it offers? I have had this lamp around five months now and believe I can give a reliable review. Upon purchasing the lamp I was after a smart lamp and something different, this fitted that bill perfectly. Putting the lamp together was easy (just don’t cut the rubber to short!) The lamp has a lot of colour changing features, very sleek look and not too big (other than the base). I must say after five months and the novelty of the fancy modes this lamp comes with wearing off, we only use this with a white light now. We do not use the dance modes or sound modes that it has, we do sometimes change the colour but not very often. The most useful feature is “Alexa lamp on”. I’d still definitely recommend this lamp if you are a gadget freak (like myself), if you just want a smart lamp there are cheaper alternatives out there.

Govee RGBIC Corner Lamp: A Must-Have Mood Booster ​I decided to finally jump on the smart lighting bandwagon, and this Govee Corner Floor Lamp has totally exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something that could add some serious ambiance to my living room without taking up a ton of space, and this black, sleek column is perfect for tucking right into a corner. Honestly, assembly was a breeze—it took me maybe five minutes to screw the sections together and plug it in. ​The real magic here is the RGBIC technology. This isn't your grandma's old color-changing bulb that just flips from red to blue. Because of the RGBIC individual control, you get these incredibly smooth and detailed gradients and patterns. The light moves fluidly, creating effects that genuinely look premium. ​The 61 Scene Modes sounded like overkill at first, but they’re actually fantastic. I have a few favorites, like the calming "Ocean" mode for reading and the vibrant "Christmas" mode (even when it’s not Christmas!) just to liven things up. Everything is controlled seamlessly through the Govee app, which is intuitive and easy to navigate—that’s where the "smart" part really shines. ​But the feature that makes this lamp a showstopper is the Music Sync. I use it when I have people over or when I'm just playing a playlist while cleaning, and it pulses and changes color right along with the beat. It’s a ridiculous amount of fun and turns a casual listening session into a mini light show. ​If you’re debating getting this, especially for a bedroom or living room where you want high-impact mood lighting, just do it. It’s far more subtle and sophisticated than strip lights, and the versatility of the scenes makes it useful for everything from movie night to a party atmosphere. My only minor note is that while it can cast a plain white light, it's definitely designed for colorful ambiance, not for lighting up a whole room for task work. But for mood? It’s unbeatable. ​Pros: ​Sleek, space-saving corner design. ​Incredible, flowing RGBIC color gradients. ​Intuitive app control and huge library of scene modes. ​Music Sync feature is surprisingly fun and responsive.

These lights are great! Bought the double pack and they provide enough light against walls to light up a room, without being too harsh. The added features are smart control, changing colours at your fingertips and that it can change colour according to music heard. The base isn't massive but does mean if you're looking to hide it under a sofa for example, this might not be possible. Finally, you have to assemble the lights but this is a case of adding a few screws and brackets to build the long tube. This is not difficult and a screwdriver is provided within the box. Does exactly what I want and does it well. Highly recommend this

Although the overall build quality is more plastic than Hue lights, its decent enough not to feel too cheap. The quality of the light itself is good, and the overall function of the unit is good. The main issue I have with it is the Software, its not nearly as good as Philips Hue and that really hurts the experience.

Great light, easy to put together and plenty bright. A point to be aware of, this is the "basic" version, there are better versions from Govee so buyer beware, e.g. other than turning the light on and off you can only control the light (colours, brightness, schedule) from an app, so if you are a Govee user then this would fit in well. I plan to buy a second one.

Excellent LED with a very high quality and ease of installation, i wish it was a bit taller.
