Alfred's Easy Guitar Songs -- Classic Rock: 50 Hits of the '60s, '70s & '80s

This book is a great bang for your buck. All 50 songs are present and accounted for. I love that it has the strumming and picking patterns as well as some tablature information in the back. I also love that the songs have the chord graphs throughout the song and not just at the top of the first page like my other books. It makes it SO much easier when trying to play along with a song that has some unfamiliar chords. I'm new to guitar at age 60 and have been teaching myself how to play for about 5 months now. I don't have aspirations to play professionally, it's just purely for enjoyment and fun but I find learning this way -just picking a song I love and giving it a go- has really gotten me further than I thought I could ever be five months in. I think the book would be great for any level as even being a beginner, the chord depictions being right there make it a no-brainer and it's okay to just do a downstrum until you're more comfortable adding in the actual strumming patterns. Overall I'm really happy with it. You do need to find something to hold it open as it won't lay flat depending on where you are in the book because of its size. I'd definitely buy it again as a gift for someone.

Great songs that I grew up with

There are some good songs in this book but also a few that aren’t. Overall, worth the price

The sheet music is great and the book is made good , I'm getting really tired of paying for Amazon Prime to get fast shipping only for it take forever to get to me . We expect 2 day shipping when it says 2 day shipping not 10 days! Anyway sorry about the rant but this has been happening to me on almost everything that I order from Amazon lately!

Great selection and easy to read

Esta bien, canciones Rock de los 60's 70's y 80's, todo el mundo encontrará algunas de sus canciones favoritas.

I already have the Pop Music version of this book so knew the format and the good range of songs within book. Unlike the pop version which i was able to play quite a few songs straight away (im just a beginner) this rock version is much more difficult like other reviews mention. Still a bit if perseverance Im learning Born To Run and Life In The Fast lane is getting there. I would recommend book to others but its definitely far from an easy book and if you're a beginner the pop version might be a better choice
