Instructions are hard, but it actually works.
These controllers do actually get programmed and work, but the instructions are hard to understand, though, once you get a hang of it, you can program these things like butter--one after another. Eh, let's see if I can summirise the programming for my vehicle (your may vary, but it probably all the same). 1) LOCK yourself inside of the vehicle, from INSIDE, using your DOOR's lock button, as you sit in driver's seat with your key and ALL of your remots being ready. 2) Quickly insert and pull out, 6 (or 10, if it doesn't work) times your key into the ignition, without turning the key. Do this as fast as you can, trying to do each insert and pull out cycle in less then a second. Once sucessful, the emergency blinkers (both turn signals' bulbs) would blink twice together on your display. This indicates that the system is ready for programming of your remotes. 3) Insert your key into ignition and turn it past the regular music ACC position and to where the all of the lights on the dash light up, but don't start the engine--leave the key in that position. 4) UNLOCK and LOCK the driver's side front door from INSIDE of the vehicle using the DOOR'S lock button. QUICKLY press LOCK button on your 1st remote. The blinkers would blink on the dash panel indicating that this remote was programmed. 5) UNLOCK and LOCK the driver's side front door from INSIDE of the vehicle using the DOOR'S lock button. QUICKLY press LOCK button on your 2ND remote. The blinkers would blink on the dash panel indicating that this remote was programmed. 6) Repeat step #4 for all the rest of your remotes (including the original one)s), if you have any). ALL of the remotes must be done like this, one after another, even the original ones. 7) Once you programmed all of your remotes, turn off and pull out the key from the ignition. 8) UNLOCK all of your doors using the driver's side door's unlock button. 9) Now you can test if the remotes work. HOWEVER, some video instruction and another instruction say to start the engine afterwards, so that maybe a thing too. Also, you might have to unlock and open the door and shut ot close after everything is done to stop the programming cycle--not sure if this is enough or you have to do it as well as turning on of the engine afterwards. Definitely open and close the door after everything is said and done. I did have a hard time getting to the sucess point. You might have to practice time and again. Don't give up. If the blinkers are responding when you press lock on the remote during step #4, then you are on the right track and the remotes are working fine and the battery inside of them is fine. No need to panic. There is a QR code on the paper that comes with the remotes, which, if you scan it with a Google Lense app or something similar, you would get to the instructions on the web for your specific vehicle. Just remember to UNLOCK and LOCK again the doors from inside for EACH remote. Don't try to program all remotes together in parallel--they are supposed to be done together but in a serial way, one after another. Works for Nissan xTerra 2004. As a side note, the key rings that came with these remotes are worthless and unbend and stay unbent, thus making it possible to lose the remote. My remote actually came off in my pocket when it was attached with this ring. Get a screwy braided stainless steel plastic coated ones that you can get on temu or some place like that for a dollar. Overall, I definitely recommend these remotes. They and the batteries inside are brand new and should last for a long time. They could be opened and the batteries replaced, should the need arise.

Works for 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback
The key fobs were generally easy to program, and my old, worn out key fob still works as well. I made sure to program my old key fob while programming the new ones, as I've seen others saying all fobs need to be paired during the same session or they won't work. The instructions provided in other reviews worked for my 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback. The only issues I had was getting my Versa to enter pairing mode (when the hazards first start flashing), and there was no indication while I was pairing the fobs that they'd actually paired. I had to repeat the first steps a couple of times to get my hazards to flash. After I completed all steps, none of the fobs worked and I thought I'd not only failed to pair the new ones, but also managed to unpair the old one. I turned the key back to ACC mode, then turned it off and pulled the key out, after which all three fobs worked. It's also kind of inconvenient that the sender didn't include instructions in the box, especially since the link for pairing instructions on their website is broken. I had to search for parts based on the year/make/model of my car, find the matching fob, and select the pairing instructions from there. To clarify, the instructions on their site are the same as posted in other reviews here, but after the first couple failures to enter pairing mode I tried looking for the instructions on the website. Overall, great product and easy to program (my car's eccentricities aside).
