If the lids crack - like the reviews are saying are they returnable with free shipping?

I've not had any problems with the lids as they are super sturdy.

What size labels will fit on this jar?

I figure it all depends on the math. What size labels you have? What's the size of container? Diameter in inches?? Just get some pre-made sticky labels on a sheet that you can cut and peel off yourself!

What is the width on these, looking at the largest part on the bottom of the jar?

Same size as a standard spice jar maybe a 1/8 inch bigger. I recommend these to several people they won't disappoint especially since you have the shaker portion of the lid along with the wide flip up for measuring spoons. Very well worth it!
