great push buttons with gentle tactile 'click'
excellent for digital circuits where you need a clean digital input (no bounce/jitter). nice solid construction with good feel. easy to take apart to insert text paper or a colour filter. led is wired for 12VDC, but 5VDC will lite it good enough, OR with some surgery you can remove their led circuit and place in your own. the only negative is the clear push button surface is a bit scratched-up from being jostled in a bag of other parts. wished they had a protective film or something to protect this highly-visible portion of the switch. the scratches are minor and just looks like it's been used for awhile.

Decent switch for the money. Some cosmetic issues.
These are decent switches for the money. I've seen name brand switches of this style cost around $25 and run as high as $70 for industrial rated safety switches. They are definitely not manufactured to the same precision as a name brand switch. You probably won't get 100,000 switch cycles out of them. But for personal projects I think they are good enough and a good value. I've attached a number of photos to give you an idea what you will be getting. These switches can be completely disassembled and parts from one switch can be interchanged with another. They are offered in latching and non-latching configuration so be sure to read the product description very carefully to make sure you get what you need. I ordered latching on-off configuration and all of my switches did just that. The LED can be removed/replaced but be sure to check polarity before reassembling the switch. The colored lens can be removed and a paper or transparent legend inserted. I highly recommend using transparencies for inkjet printers. You'll get a very professional look with crisp lettering and excellent brightness. Paper works but reduces brightness and looks a little fuzzy. The seller specifies these switches with a 5A current rating which I think may be a little high for most working AC or DC voltages, especially as the switch contacts age. But I would expect them to hold up well with 1 to 3A. Contact resistance runs around 15 mOhm when new so dissipation is about 375 mW at 5A. That's not a lot but in an enclosure the switch could get pretty warm. For currents over 5A just add a 12V relay with contacts rated for the load. The LED's in the switches I received consume 8 mA at 12V and all colors were fairly even in brightness. I was able to get usable brightness down to 9V but they started getting pretty dim in indoor lighting at 5V. Between 2V and 3V illumination was mostly gone. There are a few cosmetic oddities you should be aware of: As other reviewers have stated, the colored lenses you receive will be scratched and scuffed. Some more than others. I decided to polish mine instead of return the order because I suspect all of them on Amazon, regardless of seller or brand, will be shipped that way unless you buy name brand which will be much more expensive. I have the exact same problem with knobs from sellers here on Amazon. The solution to this is 15 minutes with a Novus 7136 Plastic Polishing kit (available on Amazon). It's a pain to have to do this but there it is. Switch illumination is not evenly distributed across the switch face. In the OFF position the LED makes the round switch barrel very obvious. It's not as noticeable in the ON position. If you insert a legend under the lens it starts to look mostly OK. But you won't get even illumination like you see on a switch that costs $30. I used a white paper insert and got fairly smooth illumination at the cost of some brightness but the result was acceptable to me. I suspect this is caused by the short and flat LED that is used in these switches. An LED with a longer nose would probably smooth it out. Incandescent bulbs are still used in this switch style and they provide even illumination. But they draw a lot of current and they make a lot of heat. These switches may not hold together with an incandescent lamp. I can't tell the difference between the Yellow switch and the Amber switch when illuminated. They both use the same yellow-orange LED. I took a photo of each one and could sort-of tell when cycling between the images displayed on a laptop, but in person they look identical when lit to me. The blue 12V legend on the switch body isn't always on the same side. One of my switches had the 12V legend on the opposite side. This is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect switch operation but it does show you the difference between an Omron quality switch made for industry at $75 and the Baomain switch built for value at around $2. Sometimes you just let that stuff slide. Overall this is a nice switch for your personal projects at home. If you don't mind polishing out the scratches and can keep to around a 3A load then these are a good value.

Good general purpose LED illuminated SPDT button
Decent standard duty 12 VDC LED SPDT momentary button for round 16mm panel depth unkeyed hole. This is kit consisting of qty 5 ea. buttons of various colors as shown. To be clear: not high reliability, not industrial, not high current, not heavy duty, not deep panel mount. No complaints in general intermittent & light duty use, priced accordingly.

Cheaply Made, Collar Nut Does Not Tighten
I bought this switch to replace a damaged switch on a customer amplifier. I intended to run it as a control to switch a thyristor, so the electrical specs of the switch are irrelevant. The problem is that when used on a 3mm thick front panel, the collar nut does not grab enough threads to secure the switch body. I had to use epoxy to fix it in place.

Fav switch!
These are quickly becoming my favorite pushbutton switch! I am using both the momentary style and the push-push style. The light inside doesn't really glow the cap equally; it is brighter in the center, but that is a really minor point. Supposedly you can pop off the cap to put a legend inside, but so far I have not had success doing that. I'm afraid of prying too hard and breaking the switch, so I can't verify it does come off.

Nice momentary SPDT panel mounting switch.
A good looking push-button switch. You can remove the colored button and place an adhesive (black on clear) label on the inner white surface and replace the colored cover. This way the switch labels are protected and really looks nice. The bad part is the mounting nut will strip the threads when tightening. I plan to use washers made of double sided sticky tape to prevent the switches from moving. I recommend push-on terminals instead of soldering wire connections.

Totally reminiscent of Original Series Star Trek. Buttons seem to perform well so far. Smooth action and latches.

I purchased these push buttons hoping for a reliable product, but I am extremely disappointed. They have numerous issues with false contacts. Some normally open contacts do not close when the button is pressed, and in other cases, the normally closed contacts remain constantly open. This makes these buttons completely unusable for any serious application. The manufacturing quality is poor, and it is evident that these products undergo no quality control before being marketed. I absolutely do not recommend this product, even for occasional use. It is clearly junk, and I will no longer trust this seller.
