I like it.
If you are breaking down pallets you need this. It works very well. the only problem I have with it is that it does not come with a handle and nothing that I can find fits into the hole correctly. I used a solid weight lifting bar that is just over 1 inch diameter and approximately 6 foot long. I drilled a hole in the bar for the pin and it works fairly well although it is a little more loose fit than I would like. Having said that it works so much better than anything else I have tried I would recommend it. I have used this to break down somewhere between 80 to 100 pallets so far and I don't notice any signs of wear or stress other than the paint. You do need to get a fairly long and strong handle. Even using the handle I am using (6 foot long) some of the oak pallets are still pretty hard to break apart.

Excellent design, doesn't come with a handle.
The design of this product is excellent. The angle of the forks seems to catch the boards fairly flat, so there isn't force on just the point. A 1" black iron pipe from your local home store makes a good handle provided you can drill the hole necessary for the bolt to secure it to the handle. I recommend a 5' or 6' length of pipe. A possibly overlooked feature that is nice is the nail/staple puller built into the Pallet Buster. It works very nicely and with the long handle makes it effortless to pull nails that stick up. It was likely a bit more expensive than some other options when you consider the cost of this plus the handle you need to add, but with how well designed it is, I think that the few extra bucks I spent to do it this way were well worth it. The only disklike I have is that I have had some of the paint chip off of this fairly easily. I think the metal is durable, but the paint job not so much.

Should have purchased
Now what I purchased did work. But I should have purchased one with a handle. I had a fence rail that I thought would be strong enough. And though I was able to break down some pallets. My handle kept bending to the point not any good. A reciprocating saw works the best

Great tool!
The Pallet Buster with Nail Removal works great when taking pallets apart to use the wood for a project. I used this one for taking about 15 pallets apart. It sure made things so much easier and saved a lot of wood that would have cracked otherwise.

Works great, handle problem.
It works terrific but finding a good working handle for it has been a pain. I used a wooden handle only to have it break on me quickly and trying to find a bar or something the same diameter to fit this has been tough. Definitely recommend but get one with a handle.

It works!!! It easily pry’s the boards off
DO NOT get fooled by those people complaining and ranking this product down. It works when used correctly. This is what I did and you don’t need power tools: 1. Borrow or buy or lease a metal bar. Depending on how much leakage you want, the longer the bar , the more leverage , making it easier to pry a deck board. Just get a metal bar between 3-5 feet. 2. Duck tape 3. Stick your bar in the hole 4. Take off a long strip of duck tape. That the new strip and tear it in half long ways. 5. Start wrapping using cross crossed , bends and turns, etc.. around the pallet buster and your pipe. Optional 3.

No handle and bends with very little force.
I highly suggest not wasting your money on this. With no handle, you are left with buying a 1" steel pipe, as a wooden one just breaks. The tongs bent the first time I had to pull a board with more than two nails. Once the tongs bend too much, the nail puller can't get under the nails anymore. It's a piece of junk.

Good product
This will make taking apart pallets easy. You do need a metal bar to attach it as handle

Paletten Brecher
