They are heavier-duty than most disposable nitrile gloves. I've had methanol permeate disposable rubber gloves, but these are far more durable for most purposes. I use them for painting, cleaning, putting over my mechanic's gloves for some kinds of car work, bathing the cat, and for playing bass (preserves my fretting hand, and eliminates annoying amplified finger squeaks).
