What scale is the car? 1/12? Do 6 inch figures fit?

No it is not big enough for 6 inch figures. The Playmobil figures that come with the set are 3 inches. I really enjoy my Knight Rider set and I have never been a big Playmobil fan. Loving the show as much as I do I took the plunge and bought it and I am glad I did.K.I.T.T. is a wonderful replica by itself. Hope this helps.

Why does this cost almost a hundred dollars? What about it is worth so much?

Would you let a 6 year old play with is or is this an adult collectible only?

If you give the car to a younger child I recommend not using the small parts that come with it due to easy loss or small enough to swallow. the figures and car are easily play worthy for a 6 year old child - the recommended age is 3 and up from playmobil

Can you open the doors?

The doors do not open; however, the top comes off to take the figures in and out.
