Love this filter cartridge
As soon as I started using a shower filter, my hair and skin improved overnight. I live in NYC, it turns out my water has a lot of sediment and disinfection bi products (e.g. Chloroform and Bromodichloromethane), as well as lead and copper. However there was SO much sediment that my shower filter (a wedded Duo) would go dark brown within days - it would get overwhelmed. So it became clear that I needed a sediment pre filter. That's why I bought this P5. I put it inside filter housing (Pentair Pentek ST-1 Filter Housing, 10" Stainless Steel Filter Housing, 3/4" NPT - also bought on amazon) and I route the water through it. Works amazing, and my wedded filter no longer gets overwhelmed. I change the filters every 3-4 months. I could almost certainly let them run longer but my my hair health is very important to me

It is an exceptional filter
This water filter does a very good job for well water. It filters out all the iron in the water from our well. It is a good practice to replace the filter every three months.
