Dewalt 190681 20V MAX 4 gal. Lithium-ion Cordless Backpack Sprayer Kit (2 Ah)

Reading reviews before I purchased this, I was a little concerned because people said it was heavy. I have used both Solo and Echo hand pump backpack sprayers over the years as a Private Applicator. Honestly, I can’t say it was much heavier than either of those. I started by putting it on the back of my golf cart and driving around. It is top heavy and would fall forward if I hit a bump. Next I tried walking with it and it was comfortable and worked well. I used a DeWalt 8AH battery. I sprayed a total of 21 gallons of herbicide (5 batches and a clean-up) and there were still 2 of the 3 green lights on indicating it had only used 1/3 of the battery. I’m impressed with it and think I made a great purchase.

Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I upgraded from the manual pump model because I was tired of having to pump to maintain pressure and wanted my arm to be free while spraying. An additional benefit is that it seems to spray a bit faster so I spend less time spraying. I’ve used the sprayer multiple times to apply fertilizer and weed killer to my lawn. I’ve had no issues with clogging. The assortment of spray tips gives plenty of versatility for various applications. No signs of early failure, leakage, or anything else like that. Seems like it will last for years to come.

This thing is great! Obvious, holding 4 gallons puts its full weight at about 40 pounds, but it's worth it. I can spray for20 minutes straight and do the whole 50 yard driveway - no pumping and refilling, etc. -and the brown tip is perfect for roundup (was the brown intentional :) Dewalt never disappoints. ok Dewalt rarely disappoints.

Love this sprayer... works very well! Runs more tanks of water than you're willing to pick up and run around with on a 5AH battery... has great pressure and probably 20-25' vertical spray. Its very easy to use, just a little heavy when completely full, but comfortable once you have it strapped on.

Dewalt does not manufacture or service this item. Besides the fact that it does not work the seller won’t take responsibility for their product. They are very difficult to communicate with, ask for the same information multiple times, and generally just throw up enough barriers until you give up. I own dozens of good DeWalt tools, but this is not one of them. Don’t buy it.

This is a must have, its a little on the heavy side, but a top-quality sprayer! I would buy it again.

This thing is AWESOME !!!!!! I can't tell you how much I love this sprayer. I have been spraying Permethrin around the house to kill off the bugs. This works great with little effort. When you fill it to 4 gallons it gets a bit heavy (think of it as a workout with a backpack :). It does have waist straps so that helps out a lot. With 4 gallons, I'm able to go around my whole house and spray to kill of the bugs. Works great. I would definitely buy it again in a heartbeat especially since many of my powertools are from DeWalt and use the same battery packs. Side note. When you get it, you might need to prime it. Getting a garden hose and blasting water into the vent (as suggested) worked REALLY well. After that, it works every time without priming it.

This product was/is well built (so far), your tank will come with residual water from them factory testing it. The only thing I will say is if you order online from amazon check your serial numbers and compare to the boxes, not a single serial matched any box of Dewalt products I purchased. Some boxes said made in Mexico while the sticker on the actual item (drill, etc..) will say made in Mexico or Made in China. I really don't care where it's made, I just want my products to match the serial numbers to the stickers on the boxes. Side Note, purchase the extra warranty. I'm Hoping to not need it, but its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. This electric backpack sprayer is a beast! I had an issue with all types of insects in the garden and I spent countless hours trying to remedy the situation that I had... It was really bad, I almost gave up gardening (my little container garden) due to the aphids and ants and pill bugs etc... Watched several channels and took lots of notes and I had one last chance at it and spraying the neem oil worked! I tested it with about 1.5 gallons and was light on the neem oil concentrate however, next week when I spray I will be filling this thing up with 4 gallons and after I spray my garden, I will spray the entire yard to get rid of the mosquitoes in the area as that is the last insect I need to get rid of. I will only use this thing for the garden no herbicides will ever see the inside of this thing. This thing saved me so much time and effort and going through all of this made me respect anyone farming or gardening that much more. If you don't have a battery sprayer and you are on the fence with purchasing one, do it, you will not regret the investment. As far as where to purchase it, if you care about factory warranties and all of that find an authorized Dewalt dealer and purchase from them. I will be contacting the company and trying to figure out this little situation and I will update.

I got this wanting to make spraying my planted trees and shrubs on my 2 acres. I was really worried it would be heavy but it’s not. I love that I no longer need to grab the handle and pump to get pressure. This gives even pressure at all times. I recommend fully.
