The **Orajel Mouth Gel** is fast-acting and highly effective for relieving pain from ulcers and sore gums. It numbs the area quickly, easing discomfort within minutes. The gel applies smoothly and stays in place well, offering lasting relief. A reliable oral care treatment to keep on hand for quick comfort when mouth pain strikes.

Always worth having In the home. I’m always biting my mouth and causing mouth ulcers. This tastes pretty gross, but really helps when needed such as eating etc. works fast to numb the pain. A tube lasts forever too.

So I rarely write reviews, but I really wanted to give feedback on this item in the hope of helping someone in my situation. I currently am waiting for medication for a B12 and folate deficiency that came to light after a recent blood test. One of the more miserable side effects of this is chronic mouth ulcers, which I have now experienced twice in the space of about 6 weeks. The first time, I started with about 5 under the tongue, which then spread to my lips over a few days, leaving me with a total of 10 of the blasted buggers. It took me a full 10 days to recover from that. I used Oralmedic to get me through the final few days as I was so miserable with not being to eat or talk properly. This medicine was absolutely brilliant but an eye-watering £15 treatment for only two doses, which I was definitely not willing to pay again so soon after the first episode. I decided I needed a middleman that may not be as effective but would help me to cope. Happily, I came across this product which was a fraction of the price. This episode of ulcers was not as bad in the sense that I had about 6-7 in total, but only one of them under the tongue was a real nuisance. So I gave this medication a go. It took me a couple of goes to get the medication to work effectively. Apply the gel over the top of your index finger, and then apply on the sore. I kept my mouth open for a bit to dry it out. It stings a little but nothing like Oralmedic. Your mouth needs to feel tingly and numb (like when you go to the dentist), then it has been applied properly. I personally felt relief for a couple of hours, not fully, but enough to talk and eat a little more comfortably. I would couple this treatment with Ibuprofen etc and salt rinses, and avoid SLS toothpaste if you can. I'm over the worst of this episode now, so hopefully I won't need to buy this gel again after getting my meds. In conclusion, definitely a better option than Bonjela, but not as good as Oralmedic.
