Sax Strap with Spreader

This is just as good as those expensive saxophone straps if not better for the price

Well made and comfortable, but it is not for kids as advertised at the time of my purchase. I bought it as a gift for my 11 year old nephew and it's huge and not enough adjustment. Didn't give it a one star because it's a good neck strap.

I am new to the instrument but I knew the strap that came with it was uncomfortable, so I bought a strap that had thicker padding in the neck pad. But really, it wasn't any better. So I tried one of the harness type of straps. It was better because it shifts more of the weight to shoulders, but you have to be Houdini to put it on and off. It was very confusing and have me a slight panic, at one point I thought I would have to cut my way out of it. So then I bought this strap, honestly I didn't expect much. But to my surprise it's actually more comfortable then any of the others. It has much more padding in the neck strap and it has connector bar that is made of flat aluminum. This bar connects the strap on either side separating them by about 4 inches and has the connector to the sax in the middle of the bar. It's connected by a short piece of the same nylon strap as the rest of the strap. It has a slot in the middle of the bar. I believe it's this separation by that bar that makes the difference in how comfortable it is. Now the reason I'm giving it a 4-star rating is because it's a little more difficult to adjust the length of the strap. You have one on the left and one on the right in the upper part of the straps since now more like a u-shape. But it's this bar that gives it that shape and I believe it's what makes it more comfortable. Plus the bar is not flimsy, I don't know what gauge it might be but it's fairly thick, which actually makes me feel better that it's safer. See the photo. But the other part of this four-star rating is a fear that the connector itself could pull apart like some of the other reviews have shown. That's fairly scary. The flat metal piece also has three holes on either side of the center and I believe that if it's a possibility that the connector could come apart and drop the horn it's also possible to use fishing line to go through one of the holes on each side and into the connector. That way if it happens to break the fishing line which is relatively invisible wood keep it from falling. At least hypothetically. In the meantime it's working perfect and it's much more comfortable using the center bar it redistributes The weight of the saxophone.

My son loves this neck strap. The padding and positioning makes wearing comfortable and supports his saxophone well. Adjustable straps create the perfect fit.

This strap is comfortable and looks great, but even after replacing with a second one, the thin straps tend to run down as I play, lengthening the distance from mouth to mouthpiece. By the time I’ve played for 20-30 minutes, I have to stop and readjust the straps. Only solution is to permanently sew or safety-pin both sides so the desired length stays in place. Disappointing! Probably just needs a bit thicker (higher quality) strap to keep it’s adjusted position.

This is definitely a well made strap. The neck cushion is perfect and the brass hard wear on it is strong.

Though I had to modify it because it was stocked wrong, I was able to fix the strap with some super glue after inserting it correctly through the buckles.. I don’t know if I got a dud, but none the less I fixed it and it worked out perfect. Super comfortable and very enjoyable. Really relieved neck stain..
