Brookstone Automatic Wine Opener (Basic)

Got this for a gift and I have since bought it for multiple people. It is very easy to use and works like a charm every time. Tip: when you are opening the bottle and pushing the button down, hold it in the down mode down until it stops. The only mistake I see people make is that they don’t hold it down long enough and then the cork does not come out. This is not a flaw in the design or action of the product, just in the person using it. Also love the foil cutter.

I've had this for a year and a half now and it's still working as new. I'm really impressed with the good quality. Other wine openers that I have bought before don't last even a year.

It did take me awhile to learn how to use this (I think that says more about me than about the product, because the operation, once you figure it out, is very simple). I like this lightweight opener better than a Rabbit opener, and the removable base serves as a foil cutter.

I had this exact model for about 8 or 10 years, but the outside material got sticky to touch. I found this one on amazon and bought it again. It is so easy to use I no longer need my husband to open the wine bottle. I like it because it uses AA batteries and does not need to be recharged like many do. I recommend this product.

easy to open and you will not happy

I open a bottle of wine in a few seconds with this product. Twist off the top with the blade and place the opener on top of the bottle and press the button to drop the corkscrew into the bottle to pull the cork out. Frustrating to watch waitstaff struggle to open a bottle of wine at a restaurant!

Hold the button down and it: goes through the foil*, down into cork, brings up the cork out of bottle. Push button again and it brings cork down for you to easily easily grab and toss. Very easy. * Hubby doesn't think it is intended to go through foil and thinks I might be abusing it when I do this. He recommends you use the foil cutter they provide instead. He is probably right but my way works too...Guess it depends if you are more a pragmatic person or one who likes to walk on the wild side. :)

This replaced my broken "Rabbit" wine bottle opener, and I was skeptical that it could work as well, but it works well and is so much easier! I don't know why I didn't buy this before because all my friends have this one! It would be a great gift, too!
