Fantastic, especially considering the price
Used this bit on my very aged Craftsman 1 hp router that I got as a hand-me-down from my dad. The router is older than my memory, from the late '70s to early '80s. I had a big slab to flatten, full on 4'x8' slab of Doug fir. It had a lot of crown, and the bit worked great. Still couldn't take much depth at a time, but it did way better than another spoilboard bit I'd used to start with. I did about a quarter of the work with the other bit, then swapped out for this one. Was able to complete the slab without having to rotate the inserts. The bit didn't mind taking climbing cuts, which was handy given how big the slab was. Absolutely would recommend. Haven't used it in hardwood yet, but it crushed the softwood.

Runs smooth, cut clean.
Iโve run this tool on both walnut and mdf. It gives a very smooth finish on the walnut and made dust out of the mdf shavings leaving a clean, flat surface. It your router is square it is almost impossible to see the tool path. Excellent value for the price.

Good design
Works great. I love the replaceable blade design. Use it on my cnc router with no issues so far on softwood. When you start getting a rough cut, just mark the used blades and rotate them. Rinse and repeat You do need to check the blades are secure after surfacing. I typically check every few cuts on large jobs and before each use between jobs. Never failed or loosened yet

Worth the money
Worked very well on my spoil/wasteboard. After reading some of the other reviews I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did!

As described
I'm using this bit on Maple and it really does cut through wood like butter. Have a lot of routing to do, so my only regret is that I didn't get a bit with the additional replacement blades

CHECK THE SCREWS!
Almost flattened two boards with this. Cut really nice for a while, then started cutting odd. Stopped the machine and checked the bit. One of the bottom inserts was completely loose and battering around. Later when taking the inserts out I found the other bottom insert was ready to let go as well. Damage to tool body as well as inserts. The one insert is toast. Don't know if this guy will cut right any more even with new inserts. Oh well, seemed to work really well. I wish the insert where tight. Tighten the screws on the inserts. Use some removable Loctite, you really don't want those fellas backing off.

Super sharp bit
Very sharp bit. Great for flattering wood with a palm router. Highly recommend.

Nice and sharp very happy
After using cheaper flattening bits in the past, Iโve always been very disappointed with the finish, needless to say this is a quality flattening bit. Tried it out on a piece of oak. There was a little chatter in One Direction, but with a 30% step over it, cleaned it right up in the other direction, and requires no sanding when itโs finished, the replacement blades are cheap enough so I would recommend this bit. Just make sure it is fully inserted into your router or spindle.

Surprising good
Flattened a large slab (about a 3 x 5 foot piece of fir) with this, surprised it stayed so sharp and ran true. Also replaceable bits are available

High quality cuts
I read the reviews before ordering this bit. Some of the negative ones seemed to be silly based on my previous experience with SpeTool bits. I had a large oak slab (42 X 24 X 2) that needed to be flattened on my Longmill CNC. This but tore through it like a hot knife through butter at 4200 mm feed rate. Super smooth. Flattened epoxy as well with no issues whatsoever.

Powerfull and efficient
This cutter is used to surface wood, including endgrain. You just have to be careful not to spin the cutter too fast and go fast enough in the cut so as not to burn the wood. Being able to change the blades and a plus. Very good product for the price.
