Can you make potato waffles

I havnt tried to yet but it works good with the pancake style waffles and i dont see why not. I think it work quite good for them 👍

Are the plates removable?

No the plates are not removable

What is the best waffle mix to use with it ?

Any waffle mix would work. I used it to make savory chaffles. Problem is the plates don't remove for cleaning so after a while they started to stick even though I sprayed them with oil first. It didn't last long and I replaced it with one where I could remove the plates.
