Only had it for a few days, but very pleased so far. This machine seems well built, and it turns ice cubes into fluffy snow almost instantly. It comes with some ice cube trays, but they're not required. We're just using the ice from our ice maker. Before purchasing this, I bought a different machine primarily made of plastic. One piece of that one broke during assembly. The ice it produced was coarse, and it was very slow. I'm so glad I returned that and purchased this. I can't speak to durability yet, but it works great!

We love this shaver. We have used it all during summer. Professional grade without Professional price. This machine is heavy duty and will last for years to come. It is also a very fast shaver. You will have a bit of clean up if doing it it hotter climate due to ice melting while shaving but other than, great buy. You could use this to make money shaving ice that's how fast and effective it is.

What an amazing summer find! This was beyond what I was expecting! It is a bit a noisy, but who cares? If course it's going to make noise, it's literally crushing ice! Perfect for snow cones or cocktails. It works very fast and produces a lot of ice. It's not super fine, but does the job better than anything I've seen. You can use the ice tray it comes with, but let's be real, it would never be enough. I bought a bag of ice and used it. For best results, place a towel under the machine, it's going to get wet. I used a bigger bowl than what came with it because I was making a lot. It looks commercial, classy and fits perfectly in any cabinet. There is no way anyone could they purchasing this machine. Best feature is that you can't over stuff it or it won't start. You're Gonna Love It!

I recently received this ice shaver and have found it to be very effective at producing fine ice shavings very quickly. It is fairly noisy, but given what it is doing I would expect that. It is a well built machine with only metal touching the ice, no plastic. The shaved ice comes out very quickly and at a high rate of speed, so some of it will miss the bowl that you are trying to catch it in. I found the bowl that comes with it not a good choice for catching the ice. It is too shallow, so I just use another deeper bowl. My 10 year old granddaughter had no trouble at all using this to make snow cones.

I bought this one to use for hosting a pool party. It's very easy to install and works very well. Each time you add ice cubes, it can make about 1.5 snow cones. We also used it to make Margarita cocktails. I'm very satisfied with this machine!
