Very sturdy, well made, in USA
While it may weigh more than a stock aluminum, having a steel fig 8 on the line is far safer and this descender is working so well, I don't mind the extra weight at all. It is good steel, made in the USA (according to the label). Came quickly and in excellent condition, and it works like a dream. Recommend if you need one.

Strong device
I love this thing... since it's strong stainless and heavy i use it as a lowering/friction device in-lew of a portable wrap or other "overkill" option. I'm in Colorado all these trees are tiny..great device, quick to set up and teach to the ground guys...

It's a chunk! Well worth the weight though
Heavy duty and versatile! Well made with a smooth finish, recommend. It's a chunk (as in heavy) but well worth the extra weight
