Data transfer from meter to computer
I have a Relion Prime meter and wanted to down load my meter reading to a computer so that I could easily track my levels and produce a simple chart. I was able to download the free software and the necessary driver need to download the data. One of the key things is in the product description on which driver for the meter/cable that you need to download and the recommended free software. Where I ran into a problem which was probably one of the other individuals that had a problem with this product, is that I am running Windows 10 and had an system update that had problems and didn't successfully update my system. Once I cleared the update error and restarted my computer, I was able to download about 5 months of 2x daily tests in less than a minute. With the free software, I was able to export my readings to excel and create a simple chart of my readings.

Not an official ArkRay device
There is no support for this device from ArkRay or any of the meter companies. It worked fine for about 2 months with SiDiary. SiDiary stopped working so I wanted to switch to ArkCare Upload. When I contacted them for support, they said that problem was likely with my cable which they don't support (ArkCare Upload just came out and I;ve had the cable for a year). I'm going to try to resell it as it might work with other devices listed.

High quality cable, just works with SiDiary
Yeah, it's pricey for a USB to serial cable, but it's cheaper than buying a generic real FTDI cable and the 2.5mm connector to hack in, and less work also. It's physically the highest quality cable like this I own. I bought this for the more or less disposable $9 Relion Prime meters (used on the road due to ubiquitous strip-for-cash availability at the W store) but I am going to make an adapter for my Lifescan One Touch meters as well which are 3.5mm. Making an adapter is half the cost of another specialty USB cable. That should tell you that making these specialty cables does cost a bit more. Like I said, real FTDI chip. No issues with drivers on Win 10 and Linux. In the case of the Relion Prime meter, it's the same as the Arkray Glucocard Vital and the Menarini Glucocard Vital... The only software out there that knows the protocol is SiDiary. And the manufacturer software which is even more awkward. SiDiary is very awkward but it seems to do what it needs to and the Adware isn't that intrusive. It will intermix data from both types of meters I have so I will live with the quirks. Overall good, if not expensive, purchase. (there's the "Value for money" suggestion). I do think it's reasonable to price this as it is as its pretty confusing to try to find technical data for any meter, but especially the Arkray/Relion. Tip=RX in to FTDI, ring=TX from FTDI. 3.3V TTL. Shank is GND. Edited to add this and fix name of Sidiary.

Make sure it’s compatable to your browser before you buy
Got to use it once, tech support was great at trying to help me. They are in Germany. My virus protector won’t allow it to run, no matter what we did. Make sure it compatable with your computer before you buy as won’t work with certain browsers

Worked perfect
I use this with my ReliOn blood sugar tester from Walmart. Along with some free software . Works great for keeping a computer record of your readings. Software is SiDiary® available separately.

it works great!
This cable and the free software I downloaded separately allowed me to see in graphic feedback about my wife's A1c and track record of her diabetic history. I had a little trouble with the sequence of things while downloading from the meter to computer, but that was all my fault. Since then, it works great!
