What else can you ask for. Granted if I had a R32 Golf, I would pay more to get the OEM, but for a normal Golf, this is great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfect! *by T***D on January 25, 2024* Was skeptical on this latch after reading the mixed reviews but decided to try it and it did not disappoint. Easy install too! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not perfect but would buy again *by K***N on October 29, 2025* Used this on my 2002 VW GTI because the stock one broke. As far as functionality, it fits and it works. The only issue I have is that the plastic handle doesn’t really stay on strong enough to pop the latch sometimes. Also had to zip tie the line to it because the line would come out sometimes and you couldn’t get the hood to pop. Overall though I would buy it again. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hoypeyfiy 1J0823509 Hood Latch Lock Replacement for 1999-2005 Jetta Golf GTI MK4 with Pull Handle - BOXI Qty(1) Front Hood Lift Support strut Shock Gas strut Shock Spring for VW Cabrio 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 / Golf 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 / Jetta 1999-2005 | Replaces 4346 SG301037 - Ezzy Auto Black Armrest Armrest Center Console Covers Cap fit for VW Jetta Golf MK4 Beetle --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.is/products/42133166-hoypeyfiy-1j0823509-hood-latch-lock-with-pull-handle-hood-release](https://www.desertcart.is/products/42133166-hoypeyfiy-1j0823509-hood-latch-lock-with-pull-handle-hood-release) --- *Product available on Desertcart Iceland* *Store origin: IS* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
