These socks are great for hiking or just keeping your feet warm and cozy. I think the fit offers good compression (not too strong, but I can feel it). OMG. I have wide, flat feet. During the winter I have to wear wool socks to keep warm but the thick ones are too bulky & hot. I can wear these socks with slippers, ankle boots, loafers and my feet stay warm without overheating!

I bought these socks for my first big hiking trip to the 5 National Parks in Utah. They're a perfect thickness so my boots didn't rub on my ankles. Also did a great job keeping my feet dry in the heat. Even though they're wool, my feet stayed comfortable for hours. They have great support as well.
