Good book
Very good book Comprehensive yet not too voluminous to be impossible to read. Lange series of textbooks tend to be sensible anyway

Great book for medical students!
I really enjoyed reading this book during my clinical rotation in Endocrinology. Each chapter is worth to read and up to date. I strongly recommend this book to every medical student and resident in Endocrinology.

First brush with this subject
This had exactly what I needed and it was very well explained Yet it did not go into depth about diseases and that was what I needed

Super dense book
Super dense book, a little more than what is needed to know for endocrinology. If you like the super comprehensive explanations then this is the book for you. If you're someone who wants just the big picture then skip over buying this

With 9 editions, you know Greenspan's Basic & Clinical Endocrinology has to be good: so many people have voted with their dollars. This book is clearly aimed at people who have had some training in science. The book provides a nicely integrated review of how hormones work and where they are produced, and medical implications and applications of this knowledge. It is user-friendly in the sense of providing listings at the beginning of each chapter of the various hormones and their abbreviations. The connections between genes and genetic defects, and hormones and hormone receptors are clearly stated, where the scientific knowledge currently exists. The writing and editing of the various chapters is even in style and uniform in the exposition of knowledge. There are very few typographical erros, which is as it should be after 9 editions. This book could be used as a benchmark for how student's textbooks should written. The value/price ratio is good.

This was a well put together text book, easy enough to understand for anyone with a basic understanding of biochemistry and/or cell/molecular biology.
