Picked up these ILM alloy steel gloves for motorcycle and bike rides, and they’re awesome. They feel tough and well-built, with the alloy steel knuckle protectors giving real peace of mind if anything happens. Despite the rugged look, they’re actually pretty comfortable and flexible, so I can still easily grip the handlebars. The touchscreen feature is a huge bonus too — I can check my phone or GPS without taking them off. Overall, solid quality, great fit, and they look cool too. Perfect for anyone who wants extra protection without sacrificing comfort. Highly recommend!

My Sith-red padded motorcycle gloves for The Saber Legion (TSL) lightsaber dueling arrived today! They come in different colors and styles, but the ones I got are the "ILM Alloy Steel Motorcycle Riding Gloves Warm Waterproof Windproof for Winter Use (L, RED(WINTER))" POSITIVES: 1) They look cool! Red looks great for a Sith, so i'm switching too all red pads (except from the neck up, haven't found red a gorget or helmet yet) so I can be a Sith Lord at TSL. 2) They have lots of padding everywhere, including the fingers, all the knuckles, and even the wrist. Not just the plastic and metal knuckle and finger guards you can see, but also padding because they're winter gloves. They have more padding than my other pair of mortorcycle gloves which (unlike these) are summer-weight. 3) They look cool! 4) They look cool! 5) And did I mention they look cool? LOL NEUTRAL (positive or negative, you decide): 1) They claim the main knuckle pads are "steel alloy", but they're not steel, because even my strongest magnets have no attraction to them. Being familiar with various metals, I can tell they're aluminum, but that's okay, because aluminum won't rust, and it's lighter (1/3 the weight for the equivalent thickness, 1/2 the weight for the equivalent strength). NEGATIVES: 1) Shipping was slow (21 days!), because even though they're sold on Amazon, they were shipped from China. 2) Like most gloves from China, these run small, so you have to order them at LEAST one size bigger than usual. I have smaller-than-average hands (hands like a 12-year-old boy), so for U.S. gloves I always order medium and have room to spare, but for Chinese-made gloves I have to order Large or Extra-Large (I won't speculate on why, for fear of being called racist). From my experience with other Chinese gloves, this time I ordered Large instead of Medium, but they still just barely fit! The right glove is a big tight when new (the left glove fits perfectly), but when broken in it'll be fine. If you have average sized hands, get an X-Large, and if you have small hands, get a Large like I did, and if you have large hands, get an XX-Large 4) Very warm and windproof, which might be GREAT for biking or other windy outdoor sports, maybe even skiing, but for TSL dueling, that means they won't breathe to let sweat out.
