Yes, they arrived packed nicely in a flat box, but they opened up just perfectly. No wrinkles at all! They look a lot like the 50-year-old shades they replaced, with NO ugly plastic inside. The white ring looked fine with the white shades, and they let a lot of light through -- exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend these lampshades, especially for replacement of vintage shades. The come flattened in a box, but everything is finished beautifully. "Assembly" is merely lifting three supports that snap right into place - couldn't be easier, and a really clever design, too. I thought there might be wrinkles remaining from the flat crush, but no, not at all. They are smooth, nicely lined, and pretty darn perfect. I saved the box for our next move and I like knowing that I don't have to worry about these being damaged because I will just fold them down again and be good to go.
