Hi, I bought this item for my uncle who only wants to watch youtube news channels and videos, as this device has youtube app preinstalled along with google browser and few other apps it was fine for his purpose. Has for your question regarding playstore app downloading for camera use, I wouldn't recommend this device. I tried to install a different browser from playstore and it failed to do so repeatedly. Hope this will help you.

Works well. Software apps outdated

Works great as media device but the netflix and prime apps are super outdated and do not appear on the playstore. For me i needed only media player.
