I say it in past tense because I was splitting lanes on the 101 about 80 mps and a lady putting on her make up hit me. The jacket looked like I put it thought a shredder after I skid 30 ft on the highway. It didn't last long at 80 mph but it saved almost all of my skin. I had about a inch of road rash on my shoulder. So I was happy that I walked away. Now my bike was a different story. If it is a cold day you will get cold for sure. However, if you are riding in a warm weather this jacket is awesome because it is light weight and it still has all the level 3 armor. It fit nice so order the size you usually get for normat jackets. It has plenty of cooling vents and stuff like that. It doesn't have any reflecting strip or anything, so do not expect any high visibility whatsoever.
