Delicious! Goes with everything.
This unusual cocoa may be the best cocoa product I've ever tried. It's indeed black and has a rich and complex taste. It's good with just about anything -- I put it in a hazelnut sauce to make choco-hazelnut and it's spectacular. Glad I tried this product.

Delicious.
This cocoa powder is delicious. We wanted it for making hot chocolate at Christmas time and were very impressed by the quality and taste. It is sugar free, so we could add sweetness to our liking. We also used it to make the most wonderful brownies. It is a good value for the price.

Different flavored cocoa
I didn’t know what black cocoa was before ordering it. It is NOT Dutch processed cocoa and does not taste the same. FYI- black cocoa is the type of cocoa that is used in Oreo type cookies!

Great for black and white cookies
I used this to make the frosting for the black part of black and white cookies. It was perfect for that with good flavor and perfect dark color. Expensive though.

Revel in Richness with King Arthur Black Cocoa
Baking with King Arthur Black Cocoa has been an absolutely delightful experience. This cocoa has indeed proven itself to be the king of cocoa powders with its characteristic ability to add an extraordinary depth of flavor to my creations. I used the Black Cocoa in a Brooklyn Blackout Cake, and the result was nothing short of a spectacular culinary triumph. The cocoa brought out an intense, yet well-rounded chocolate flavor that was far from being overwhelming. Moreover, the beautifully dark texture it imparted to my cake was an aesthetic masterpiece; each slice was as pleasing to the eye as it was to the palate. While it’s true this might be a slightly pricier investment than regular cocoa, its unique attributes make it worth every penny for those particular recipes requiring a deep, dark chocolate appearance. It suits best for occasions when you desire to take your baking a notch higher and are unafraid to experiment with some intense chocolate notes. Thinking beyond just cakes, I believe this striking black cocoa could also yield amazing effects when combined with frosting. Imagine a stunning cake with a strong, bold color contrast – sounds intriguing! To sum it up, King Arthur Black Cocoa is a specialty item that brings a remarkable difference to your baking exploits. Whether you're striving for that dramatic color or aiming for a rich cocoa flavor, it's a product worth splurging on. A little can go a long way in transforming a regular bake into a memorable piece of art.

Used to make icing black
I purchased this to help make my royal icing black so I would not have to add so much food coloring, and it seemed to do the trick! The icing was very black and actually the cocoa has a good taste to it too!
