Summer Bridge Activities 8th to 9th Grade Workbooks All Subjects, Middle School Books With Math, Reading Comprehension, Science, Fitness, Social Studies, Writing Practice, and Flash Cards Review: Review to refresh memory - Excellent summer workbook! It covers all the important subjects in a clear and organized way, making the transition from 8th to 9th grade much easier. The activities are engaging, not overwhelming, and the flash cards are a great bonus for review. Perfect for keeping skills fresh over the summer without feeling like too much work. Review: Excellent for Preventing Summer Learning Loss 🌞📖 - I purchased the Summer Bridge Activities workbooks for both my kids—one going from 6th to 7th grade and another from 8th to 9th—and these books have been a great resource. The activities are short, around 15 minutes a day, but they cover all the essentials: math, reading, writing, science, and even social studies. What I like most is that the lessons are designed to keep kids engaged without overwhelming them. My younger child liked the mix of fun challenges and practice pages, while my older one benefited from the writing prompts and algebra review. It really helps ease that transition between grades and keeps their skills sharp over the summer. These books give me peace of mind knowing my kids are ready to start the school year with confidence. Highly recommend for families looking for a balance of learning and fun during the break!

Been using forever with great success for the upcoming school year.
We use these every year for all my kids. If my child is going into 1st grade, we will get him the 2nd to 3rd grade book. We do not use the K to first-grade book. These books have really helped my children prepare for the upcoming year, especially the math sections. We keep to the schedule of only one page a day (front and back). Yes, your child may not fully comprehend some stuff because it is for the upcoming year, but it is not hard for a parent to spend just about 5 minutes explaining the concept. Both my sons have used this company, and the following school year, they are not surprised by the upcoming materials, again especially the upcoming math. The book comes with star stickers to reward the kids....we never used them. The book also has outdoor activities for the kids to get "some" exercise for the day. It is nothing big, for instance, for little kids, "go outside and count the different types of trees you see from your front yard." The book primarily consists of language and math, but it also includes sections that cover geology, history, and other subjects. The non-English and math sections are mini-lessons and there are only about one per topic. Bottom line, these books are mostly reading/English and math exercises.

Summer work
I ordered this book for my son who will be going to 8th grade this August. He used it this summer because he did not go to summer school this year. He does a couple pages a day. We really love it for him, some work is challenging because it is a grade above his. But he still works through it. I’m glad to see him challenged and excited for this up coming school year

Easy to use to stay ready to learn. Best summer learning books!
Bridge books help us stay on track through the summer and show up to the new school year having retained what was learned the previous year and ready to absorb all the new things. Only 1 page or around 10-20 mins/day makes it easy for both parents and kids. We will keep using these year after year!

Good value-excellent results!
I bought this book for my son to work during the summer time. My idea was to keep his mind busy and working during the summer days and it’s working! The book comes divided and gives only 2 pages to work per day. Simple, right? Yes, and that is the key because it keeps them doing it every day! Just 2 pages per day is doable and the content is a mixture of what they already learned and new content for them to learn. Super simple to follow and I can’t wait to see where he’ll be once school starts again. Just having him engaged and working for 15 minutes is a great thing for me. I’ll buy it again next year.

Parents remove the answer key from the back
I ordered this for my son to work through during the summer. The worksheets are appropriate for the grade. Just remember to remove the answer key from the back of the book.

Too many wrong answers to have been professionally edited
For several summers, my son has completed the workbooks in this Summer Bridge series. In general, they have been helpful in keeping at least part of his mind on academics to curb the summer slide. This edition is too frustrating for both my son and myself. In previous grades, there have always been some errors, especially math, but not exclusively. This 8-9 Grade edition takes the cake. There are far too many errors. Thankfully, I am checking his answers with him, because if he just went by the answers on his own, he would be confused. I stand by my headline. How could this edition of the 8-9 Grade Summer Bridge been edited by a professional editor? They keep sending these out without any changes to the printed edition. There many be online updates at the publisher's website, but I shouldn't have to go there to verify the answers. It's extremely frustrating, but I guess it works for the publisher since there are no more editions after 8-9 grade so the don't have to incentive on future Summer Bridge sales, though I don't think I could trust the high school level workbooks now.
