SMALLRIG Magnetic Mount Adapter for DJI Action 5/4/3/Osmo 360-3662B

This is a very well made an constructed quick release mount for the DJI 360 that I purchased. Works great on my street bike, but did not hold when put on my Ducati Multistrada on dirt roads. It failed almost immediately in this environment, very bumpy. Not sure why it doesn’t hold because it seems very well made, but that’s my experience. Not reliable for off road.

This mount adapter is the best for the money! It is super easy to use regardless if you are using the screw clamp or a 1/4" x 20 mount. It is made well and barely weighs anything. This mound is designed just right to make it easy and quick to use. The magnet works great and it is made out of top notch materials to last a long time!

I was a little worried from reading some of the reviews whether this is a good product. I'm glad to report that this support adapter fits my DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro like a glove. The fit is tight and does not shake like others claim it does on their devices. It is well made and I like that it can be secured to a tripod. I plan to order a few more as I get more attachments.

This third-party mount is a good attempt to improve on the OEM product. Its spring-loaded clips are easier for me to press deeply enough to disengage the camera, especially while wearing gloves. I like that it offers an additional mounting option (1/4-20 threaded hole, a widely used industry standard). However, because the mounting fins swing away to accommodate this, they introduce a bit of looseness/play in the mount that causes it to wiggle slightly on even the tightest mount. I'm not concerned that it will break free, but it does cause an undesirable amount of instability. This mechanical wiggling also introduces unwanted noise into recorded audio. I would be okay using this mount in low-impact situations such as a selfie stick or static positions, and/or with an external mic such as a paired DJI Mic 3. However, for my motorcycling use cases, it does not meet my needs.

Not a fan!! This clip is SUPER difficult to latch onto the SmallRig cage on the DJI Action 5! Makes no sense, as they are made to work together. Even worse is the fact you think it’s finally clipped on, but it’s not! So you could easily drop, or even worse lose the camera. I realize the clip only fits 1 way, and if it’s reversed it won’t work. But mine won’t latch in the proper orientation. Not sure if mine is defective, but it’s useless & I cannot be used…

Well contructed. Metal, fits camera perfectly. I needed something to allow direct tripod hookup via 1/4 connector on tripod. Works just as expected. Very pleased.
