Now, more than ever, it's important to take care of our health and do our best to avoid illness. Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C is a big part of my wellness plan. Most people associate vitamin C with the immune system and know we need sufficient vitamin C to ward off colds and other viruses and to fight them if and when we do get sick. But vitamin C does a lot more. It reduces the risk of chronic disease as well as acute, it can help protect the heart and blood vessels, it helps prevent anemia, and it may prevent dementia in older persons. And that's just the beginning of the list of benefits. If you simply swallow a vitamin C tablet or capsule each day, it's better than not taking any vitamin C at all, but most of the vitamin (up to 97%) can be lost as it passes through the acidic environment in your stomach. Liposomal vitamin C is encapsulated in a layer of fat that allows it to pass through the acidic environment of the stomach without being destroyed. According to LivOn, this means that liposomal vitamin C delivers 200% more vitamin C than the standard tablet or capsule, and you, of course, are the beneficiary. According to LivOn's Website, the liposomes, themselves, contribute to our nutrition. As someone who doesn't like to take large pills, I like the fact that I can simply open a packet of this liposomal vitamin C, pour it in a glass, and down it in one swallow. I was a little reluctant, at first, to take 1,000 mg., since 75-90 mg. is the usual recommended daily dose, and I'm no believer in mega-vitamin therapy for anything. However, I've suffered no ill effects from the high dose, and I don't expect to. Due to an accident, I've had two cornea transplants (one in each eye), and due to the cornea transplants, I've developed dry eye syndrome in both eyes. Drops do help greatly, but after taking Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C for a few months, I find I usually don't even need the drops. I also feel I sleep better and have a lot more energy during the day, though it's calm energy; I'm never nervous and jumpy like some people are if they drink too much caffeine, etc. I also love it that this vitamin C contains no GMOs, sugars, starch, artificial flavors, artificial colors, flavors, gluten, hexane, or meat or dairy products. It's suitable for vegetarians like me and even for vegans. Some people say it tastes terrible, but it really doesn't. Just put some water in a shot glass, pour in the vitamin C, and swallow. There won't be any taste at all. If the health benefits aren't motivation enough to take this, your skin needs vitamin C to look its best. It needs a lot more than vitamin C, of course, but vitamin C plays a huge role in bright, beautiful skin. Many of us use expensive vitamin C serums on our face, but unless we have adequate vitamin C in our body, our skin isn't going to be able to glow, and we won't be able to make adequate collagen and elastin, two substances that keep our skin young and bouncy looking. I love this vitamin C, and I'm trying to get everyone I care about to take it daily. You should be doing that, too. (I also take LivOn's L-Carnitine to counteract the aging effects of sugar, since I don't eat meat.)

Great supplement, although taste is not tasty but ok I guess with water or juice after works great

The taste is definitely odd if you take it straight, but it works. I’ve tried mixing it with water, and it’s worse that way, so now I just take the packet as is.

UPDATE: My three family members have continued to take the Vita C since September 2015. It is now mid January 2016 and I am happy to say not one of them has gotten a cold or flu let alone being hospitalized for double pneumonia as my uncle was last year. He has Alpha 1 COPD so pneumonia is THAT much more serious for someone in his condition. He has stayed healthy and strong this winter thus far and had an AMAZING recovery since he came out of two weeks in ICU in August/September 2015. He has a rare disease, CIPD, in addition to the COPD, that caused his diaphragm to paralyze in late summer! He was on a ventilator for one of the two weeks he was in ICU back in August into September of 2015. He could only whisper when they removed the vent. The doctors said his voice may never return. Well, it's back! And it's been back for a long time now! My Grandmom (91 years old!) who had a chordoma tumor in her pituitary had it surgically removed in February 2015. It came back so fast. :( She had gammaknife radiation in early August 2015. Began the Lypo-Spheric C after she had gammaknife and has been doing very well since then. She gets brain MRIs regularly. On a side note... beauty wise.... My grandmom and uncle have been taking the highest doses (2-4 packets a day) and I have noticed their skin looks incredible! I like to review products after they have proven the test of time. That being said, Myself, and 3 of my family members, have been using Lypo-Spheric Vita C for several months now. We all love it. It has helped my family immensely that had been experiencing significant health problems. Their health problems range from: Brain Cancer (chordoma brain tumor), COPD, CIPD, Dystonia, and Neuropathy. Even though I personally live an organic holistic lifestyle for over 15 years, my family does not, and has numerous health struggles from living a "mainstream" lifestyle. The point is, when people do not want to change their lifestyle, yet can take supplements that offer REAL results, without additional lifestyle changes, it is a highly impressive thing! This is one of those products. I only take about 1 packet a day, and usually mix with other forms of vita c (including homemade liposomal C) throughout the day. My family with above mentioned health issues take 3-4 packets a day. It has REALLY made a difference. We all consume them on an empty stomach. My family does not make homemade liposomal C (like I do) in addition to this product, nor have they made any additional lifestyle changes, but they are all reaping the benefits strictly through the packets from Livon Labs.

I love this vitamin C. Unlike another liposomal vitamin C I tried, this one does not give me a stomach ache. This biggest question for me was, are they actually liposomal or are they just claiming to be. I read many are “fake” but I wanted real high absorption liposomal since the body can only absorb a certain amount of regular vitamin c and the extra gets flushed out the colon where it attracts water and can easily cause diarrhea and burning feelings, leaving many people with the problem of needing more Vitamin C to get the benefits, but getting sick from more. I read though, that with liposomal, the body absorbs almost all of it and so there shouldn’t be colon side effects. Based on my research, this brand looked good, so I got it and used it up. It seemed to work, so I bought it again, but I hated how expensive it was and started wondering if it was worth it. I had since read that it was safe to temporarily take high amounts of vitamin C. To test whether or not this brand was legit, I took 2,000 mg(2 packets) 3 times in one day for a total of 6,000mg within 12 hours. I did not get a single colon symptom like I do with regular vitamin C. I did get a slight and temporary stomach ache after the last dose, but my stomach easily gets upset and I actually was surprised at how well it did with this test. The next day I had 4,000mg and still had no negative symptoms. So I believe it’s safe to say that this stuff is real high absorption lipossomal vitamin C and not much gets left unabsorbed to cause unpleasant side effects. I have since finished the box, taking 1 packet(1,000mg) twice a day. It helps with my MCAS(mast cell activation syndrome) and histamine issues(some of which are cause by MCAS). I am now buying it again.
