Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs has always been one of my favorite books growing up, so I was excited to get a copy for my son. It definitely brought back a lot of great memories, and it’s been really special being able to share that experience with him. The story is fun, creative, and easy for kids to enjoy, and it’s been great watching him get interested in something that meant a lot to me as a kid. Overall, it’s a timeless classic and a great way to pass down something meaningful to the next generation.

Favorite children’s book- I give it to everyone!

This was my favorite book as a kid and just bought it for my grandson.

I loved this book when I was a kid and have been looking as a way to share this with my 20 month old son. However, my son is not gentle enough with books to give him a book with real pages. I was happy to find this book in a board book format. It is sturdy enough to stand up to the abuse of my book loving 20 month old. Depending on the attention span of your little one, this might still be too long for them. However, the images are so detailed that a little one will be entertained just by looking at the pictures.

Should be in every child’s book collection!

This is the greatest book ever! Classic! I first read this book in elementary school and my imagination grew tens folds after reading this book back then. In the past I bought this book for family and friends, but I recently bought this book for myself this time. My goodness, it took me right back to my childhood. It was even better because I understood and picked up on things with fresh eyes. If you have kids, adults, yourself, I recommend you gift them this book. The illustration is incredible, you can take hours looking at all the details and the narration is so creative and really brings the readers in to the town of chewandswallow. For me this book was life changing and will forever treasure and read over and over again.

This is a tall tale told by a grandfather to his grandchildren... an island where food rains down from the sky and there are no grocery stores. The imaginative story and images really capture kids' attentions. It was one of those books that I as a child kept picking back up again just to look at the images. This book teaches children that stories don't have to be real to be fun to read/hear. It encourages children to make up their own tall tales and share them with others. This book can give kids the freedom to use their imaginations to make up silly stories, that don't have to do with reality.... they can just have fun and be creative. As long as..... they do not pass off those stories as the truth... because then they cross into lying. its one thing to be silly and its another to deceive/trick others.

My 5 year old grandson loved this book and I read it to him over and over during the week I was with him.

It was great reading experience for my son as he loves to imagine. Recommended for everychild. Teaches a lesson also..excess of everything is bad

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs is alovely book. The child I was reading it to sat and listen with big stunning, eyes. We love this book!

I picked up this book as a replacement for a doubled gift my daughter got for her birthday. I chose this and Caps for Sale (Reading Rainbow Book) . They were 2 of my favorites when I was a little older than she is, and I felt that she would enjoy them when she was old enough to read them, and until then, I would enjoy reading them to her. I did worry at first that it might be a little old for her, since she's only 3, but the muted colors in the pictures didn't deter her, nor did the longish story. At first she prefered Caps for Sale (Reading Rainbow Book) , but she quickly picked up on some of the hidden jokes in the pictures and now asks me to read it nearly daily with her happily pointing out the different foods and jokes. Having read this as a child I knew what to expect, but I'm sure many people haven't. If you're expecting anything close to the movie, then this might not be what you want. The stories are completely different. Overall, an enoyable book for all ages. Little kids will like the humorous parts of the story and the older kids will enjoy the picutes with their hidden little jokes. I recommend this for anyone.

Un libro muy muy original, una historia llena de humor y de imaginación. El nivel de inglés requerido no es muy alto, perfecto para introducir a tus hijos en la lectura en otro idioma.

This is, obviously, a picture book. But it's so much more than that. Partly comic book, partly fairy tale, partly picture book, about grandparents, food, going on an adventure, and telling tales. Wonderful! You'll never watch the weather forecast again in the same way :-)
