Happy I could find this
I have an older (2020) pair of avantree headphones that came with the original dg80 adapter. This combo supports the Faststream codec, which allows high quality audio while using the Mic. All the newer ones use Bluetooth LE, so faststream support is basically non-existent now. I was glad to find this older model adapter that still had it. It works perfectly and I'll be able to keep using my old headphones now. This also come with the latest/best firmware which has fixed crackling audio problems I had with previous versions. It's the best version of the this older generation adapter.

If I could give 6 stars I would.
I honestly thought that this just wouldn’t work. Or if it did, it would be unreliable, cutting out all the time or having latency issues. I AM SO GLAD THIS PROVED ME COMPLETELY WRONG!! I plugged this product right in, and my Sony XM4s synced right up. It has been a breeze ever since then. It has never failed. It has never gotten staticky. It has never lagged or had latency. Never disconnected randomly or stopped working where I had to unplug and plug back in. No worries about buying this one. I expected that not every single headphone would work with the mic. So in my case, I have to use the mic on the controller, but I don’t use the mic very often anyway. The main part is gaming through the headphones. So as long as you have the expectation that maybe your mic might not work, I don’t believe any of the bad reviews. This thing is incredible. Buy with confidence!

Stream to TWO Echo's at the same time.
I needed some audio in a larger room for a presentation, and thought two Echo's (Gen2) would suffice, but how to stream to both at the same time? This is the answer. Just pair each Echo separately, and then hit the music. I was able to move this from a Pixel to a Galaxy without any changes, it honestly "just works." So great to have something like this work as well as this did. Bluetooth is always a pain, but this is amazing.

PS5 wireless audio works but with quirks
I bought this for our PS5 so we could have wireless headphones--two headphones in fact for two player games. For the most part they work great, no noticeable lag, and reliably reconnect. I have tried the following devices: - Soundcore noise cancelling over ear phones -- these are the ideal solution because they have volume buttons. - Air Pods pro (2nd gen) -- these DO NOT work. They will disconnect after a few minutes. This is an Apple defect for pairing with certain Bluetooth devices, which they have yet to fix. - Air Pods pro (1st gen) -- these work but the lack of volume control and reconnecting is problematic (see below) Below are things to be aware of with using this and PS5. SOUND QUALITY and DUAL CONNECTION Generally it is easy to pair two devices for the first time. I have noticed that the audio sometimes echoes (like you are in a metal box) when two headphones are connected. Not sure if this is the game, the wireless connection in general, or only happens when you have two as we have observed. It is not constant and maybe happens a few times each hour of play so certainly livable, but strange. I will update this comment if I learn more. VOLUME When you have headphones or ear buds that do not have a volume control, you must control the volume using the PS5 menu. When one person has integrated volume controls and the other does not, you need to adjust to PS5 to suite the second person and then the one with volume controls can adjust to their liking (the volume of the PS5 will affect BOTH people if they are on one Avantree.) Keep in mind that volume controls are profile specific and that by default player ONE is controlling the volume for both headphones, so you will need to adjust player ONE. Player 2 can "take over" volume control but then it will be using their profile's settings, so you would ideally need to make both profiles work the same. MICROPHONE The Avantree cannot use the wireless microphone built into your headphones or earbuds. Actually, it can but it will switch to a lower-quality audio feed whenever you speak. This is due to Bluetooth limitations and not specific to Avantree, but nonetheless it can be annoying. If you need a microphone what I recommend is to switch the PS5 to use the controller microphone. You may need to do this every time you play (see PS5 Preference). There are various microphone options on the Avantree itself you can read about if you have different needs. RECONNECTION As with most Bluetooth situations, your headphones will reconnect to the last device you used. If you have a dedicated pair of headphones or earbuds for the Avantree/PS5, you will have no problems. But if you use the same pair with multiple devices (say a phone, watch, and PS5) then you will run into preference issues. This is not specific to Avantree but it more noticeable with Avantree-like devices because you don't have nice menu to force the connection, such as on a phone. You may have to play with the other device settings (e.g. tell the phone/watch not to connect automatically) to have a smooth operation. The only way to force reconnection on the Airpods for me was to turn off the Bluetooth on the phone and watch, then disconnect the Avantree and plug it back in. That would force the Airpods to find it again and reconnect. Another way is to go through the pairing process again. I give this example just so you know there might be some challenges getting it to all work the way you intend. PS5 PREFERENCE Having any audio device plugged into the PS5 will cause it to default to that device. That means every time you turn the PS5 on, it will; default to using the Avantree regardless if you have the headphones on or not (PS5 just sees the Avantree and not the headphones on the other side). So you will need to manually switch it to your external speakers if you don't want headphones, every time, or just simply unplug the Avantree to force PS5to auto-switch. This also applies to the microphone setting. I like to leave the Avantree plugged in so you can also change a setting in the PS5 audio setup so it remembers the last audio device and doesn't automatically switch. Pick whichever process works for you. Overall, this works fine for our needs so I like the product. It's quirkiness is mostly due to how Bluetooth works and specific vendor issues, such as for Apple Air Pods Pro 2nd Gen (not compatible at this time).

Avantree is toilet
This is the second Avantree product we've bought, and both have been trash. I've been using it non-stop (daily) and it is consistently a terrible experience, every single time. I've been using it daily for 5-6 weeks at this point. The connections are not stable at all, distance is not a factor. I've tried at 1 foot, 5 feet, 10 feet, in another room, across the house. Always bad. Also, the device is powered off between uses for average 16 hours each time, due to the Playstation powered off when not in use (not in sleep standby mode). Power cycles while in use (unplug, wait, return) do nothing and experience is not improved. There is often constant static background or foreground noise (or both), very unstable connections, sudden bursts of louder sound (volume increase). It sometimes won't connect at all or gets disconnected. It occasionally has audio lag. These are specific issues with this product. Four different sets of headphones, three different brands, including Bose QE II, Bose QC 45, Skullcandy, and one of my kids headsets. None of these headsets have problems with any other device - they only have problems when connected to Avantree products. This one was actually purchased by mistake, and I was tired and didn't notice. The other Avantree product we already own is markedly worse, so I would not have bought this one intentionally. I definitely will never buy another Avantree product, and I tell everyone to to avoid them.

PS5 and Apple Airpod Pro II's work for Game Sound and voice chat!!!!
I have a PS5 and was sick of the heavy ASTRO headset and the gaming dent in the top of my head after a few hours of playing and sounded like this might be a solution. Some of the reviews said Game sound work great but they were unable to get voice to work. I purchased the USB C version.. Comes with adapters and a little mic (which you do not need) that plugs directly into your controllers port. Took me a minute to figure out how to get the Airpod pros to link. I was pressing the button on the case with the lid shut I think was my issue. BUT once they connected, DOUBLE press the setup button on the USB adapter and the white light comes on, on the adapter showing it is in voice mode. At that point it should work. If not, you may have to change your sound and mic setting in the PS5 to use the adapter.. Voice sound is excellent and game sound is awesome as well. I play Division 2 very fast paced looter shooter and there is zero lag in sound.. Hope this helps clear this up for some people..

Connects better with other wireless devices
The device works well with connecting with my AirPods 2nd Gen as long as I turn off the Bluetooth on my cellphone. Then you might have to wait a few seconds for them to sync. You do have to change the audio chat settings a bit if you’re playing cross play since I’ve been told I sound like I’m underwater sometimes. It does work well with my Dre Beats Studio Pros and wireless JBL speaker. Connects much faster with those compared to my AirPods. Also audio chat works much better with my Beats. But it is very useful if you want to use your AirPods while watching Netflix late at night. Good device, just have to play around with it a bit. There’s a few useful YouTube videos that explains the process better. Hope this helps 👍🏽

Works for some headphones, maybe not 2 at a time
I bought this device because the new Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 tablet I bought would not support two headphones via Bluetooth at once. My wife and I are planning an international trip next year so I wanted something lighter than a laptop but more than a cell for internet access and entertainment during air travel or long layovers. I saw this product and liked how small it was along with the claim of supporting two pairs of headphones which was just what I was looking for. When I received the product, I went to work trying it out first with a pair of Lenovo Yoga headphones and Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds. I was able to pair the headphones with no trouble and the sound was fine. I then tried to pair the Jabra earbuds and even though it looked like they paired ok, the best I could get out of them was very clipped sound and very low volume. To be fair, I had not taken into account that the earbuds use their own Bluetooth channel to communicate between the two sides. I then borrowed my wife's Sony Bluetooth headphones (both them and the Lenovo headphones support Bluetooth 5.0) and tried to pair them to the device. No matter what I tried (turning off all other Bluetooth devices, doing master resets on both, even getting into one of our vehicles that has no Bluetooth devices at all), I was unable to pair the two. I thought about buying some new Bluetooth headphones, but was not confident that they would work any better (so I can't speak to whether that would have worked or not). I even contacted Avantree and spoke to a real representative which spent several minutes trying to help me through the problems. I do think this speaks well for Avantree as well as the offer of a free extended warranty on the product. Ultimately, my problem is that I could not get the product to work as I needed it to and I really wanted it to and as advertised. You may have better luck with this but I had to return the item.

Works great with PS5
The device works great on the PS5. Plug and play. Did not notice any lag. I use it to connect my PS5 on my Bose soundbar. Works great!

Useful accessory
Amazing and useful accessory. If bought a PS and instead of TV, I had a monitor. I was able to connect my PS to a speaker via this as PS does not support connection to a bluetooth speaker.

Amazing for the PS5.
I am using this to connect both my Astro A30 and SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro 7p to my PC and PS5 to receive simultaneous audio from both those devices without the need of cables. This tiny little device works wonders. I am not noticing any latency and it is very easy to setup, just plug the device in and set your headset to pairing mode and boom it connects almost instantly. Knowing that this will future proof my ps5 with any bluetooth headset I buy it makes looking for the perfect headset much easier. Big fan.
