Perfect for homemade lattes!
After deciding to cut out regular milk, I spent some time searching for the perfect alternative to make my daily lattes at home. I tried several brands until I found this one. I first tried the regular version, but once I got my Breville espresso machine, I switched to the Barista Blend to see the difference and it’s been a game changer. It steams beautifully and creates a smooth, stable microfoam. I’m not a latte art pro, but I can still manage a few simple designs with this milk, which says a lot about its texture and consistency. The flavor is neutral, creamy, and blends perfectly with espresso without overpowering it. Definitely a must-have for anyone who loves making café-style drinks at home.

Less bloating
Some almonds milk is too heavy and hurts my stomach and give me to much gas. This milk has a good flavor and not too gassy. I don’t fuss bloated drinking this product.

Good Tasting Almond Milk for Coffee
This is by far the best tasting almond milk that I have tried in my espresso drinks. I'm not a fan of almond milk because it usually tastes like paper or that soft papery shell around an almond nut instead of coffee. This does not have that taste. It does not foam for me as well as some other milks (soy and Ripple's pea protein milk does better), but it isn't bad. I was in search of a good almond milk since I am concerned about using soy (which for me is the absolute best in espresso drinks) and the pea protein just tasted kind of strange. So I will continue with this!

September 2023 MUST READ FOR ANYONE WITH FROTHING MACHINE
If you plan to FROTH this milk, whether with an espresso machine or a hand frother, read the RECENT comments. Califia changed their thickening agent which makes it so the ALMOND MILK BARISTA BLEND does not froth. You will not get a silky milk. You won’t be able to make latte art. I have purchased this brand for over 2 years, have used 2 different espresso machines that have their own frother, and have been able to make latte art consistently so I know it’s not a skill issue. I purchase their Oat Milk Barista for myself and the Almond Milk Barista for my partner. Their Oat Milk Barista is fine (for now) but their Almond Milk Barista is absolute garbage with the change. This change in formula is only a few months old so maybe I will switch back when they revert their formula. You WILL regret this purchase if you intent to make latte art. Tastes fine, but ruins the experience of being an at home barista. I purchased this brand over Oatly or Chobani, both of which I have tried before, due to the better price on Amazon but will go back since Califia delivers a very poor quality product.

Decent almond milk, will froth WITH the right frother...
This is a decent almond milk. It doesn't give as much of a nutty aftertaste as other soy milks that are easily accessible in a grocery store. In terms of frothers, I have tried various frothers and what not. It is important to note that this will not produce a large foam. And you will not be able to use the nespresso aerocino models with this milk in terms of foaming. It needs a higher temperature or a proper frothing wand-- this is key. You need to "pull the milk" properly with a frothing wand which is what this milk was designed to work with. The nespresso Creatista has a wand attachment and that will actually froth the milk. It won't be intense, but there will be some froth. If you want a non-wand frother, you can try the breville one on amazon. You can increase the temperature. This does not need to be refrigerated until opened, which is awesome. However, you should chill the milk before opening for the best froth. Starting at room temperature will not provide enough froth. Basically- if you want froth- chill this milk before use use a frother with a steaming wand it will not be a lot of froth but sufficient enough to make you feel like you're drinking a latte. Try increasing the heat settings on your apparatus if it doesn't work.

Best almond milk for latte/cappucino
I have tried a number of almond milks for use making lattes and cappuccinos at home and this is by far the best. While my regular milk lattes and cappuccinos/etc turn out great, regular Almond Breeze or even the regular Califia Farms almond milk (i.e., the non-barista blend) separated, didn't froth and tasted a bit odd. I began to ask my favorite coffee bars which almond milk they use in their drinks and, with the exception of the few that make their own almond milk in house, the answer was Califia Farms Barista Blend. The quality of the barista blend closely mimics regular cows milk coffee beverages - the barista blend does not separate and also manages to form a bit of foam. Also, it tastes good! Aesthetics aside, the barista blend tastes better than Almond Breeze or other regular almond milks that I have tried in my espresso mixed beverages. You should note, however, that unlike the regular Califia Farms almond milk, the Barista blend has both added sugar and thickeners. This is most likely the reason for its stability and superior taste in espresso beverages.

Only ok
I like the Califia brand refrigerated products, but all of the shelf stable items I've tried just taste odd. I don't know why. Other non dairy brands seem to taste the same refrigerated or off the self. I live in an area now where it's hard to get many options for almond milk coffee creamer so I wanted to give this product a try. The price is reasonable. It's nice that I can buy in bulk and store in the cabinet. The taste isn't bad, but it's not great. Very meh and that's not because it's unflavored. I like to add my own flavors because it's very hard to get a good variety with non dairy coffee creamers. Even with adding my own flavors, there's an odd taste. And no, it's not spoiled or anything. I like the price, but I won't be buying it again.
